We wanted to put together a proper spotlight for one of the drivers we were proud to support at Trail Hero this year — Brett Dickey, #17.
At just 17 years old, Brett is already doing some seriously impressive things behind the wheel.
He’s the 2024 BFGoodrich Tires Trail Breaker Champion, races with Beast Buggy Motorsports, and came into Trail Hero ranked #1 in W.E.ROCK Unlimited National Points.
And for the Jeep crowd — his rig is a 2019 JL running 43-inch tires, Super 60 axles, King coilovers, and plenty more built for crawling.
This year, 3W was proud to sponsor Brett as he took on the Trail Breaker Challenge, where 12 of the top drivers faced one seriously unforgiving course.
He finished 4th overall, but one of the biggest moments of the day came when his rig got hung up in a tight section. After several attempts, Brett backed out, completely changed his line, and worked the Jeep through without touching the boundary.
The crowd went crazy — and for good reason.
We put together Brett’s Trail Hero journey below, from the pre-event interview to the competition and post-run conversations.

We had a great time following Brett throughout Trail Hero and watching him handle the pressure out there.
Definitely a young driver worth keeping an eye on.
Congrats again, Brett. We’re proud to have been along for the ride.
