The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel specs recently revealed and its new, turbocharged, 3.0-liter diesel V6 produces 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque (at just 1600 rpm).
With these specs revealed, it’s a safe bet that the EcoDiesel Gladiator will tout similar, if not identical, power figures. No MPG figures have been released yet for the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel.
As for transmission, the EcoDiesel Gladiator will also likely feature the same transmission as that of the Ram 1500 diesel in order to handle the high torque output. This would be the ZF 8HP70 transmission, not the 850RE that has been used so far in the JT Gladiator and JL Wrangler.
The EcoDiesel Gladiator is expected to launch in 2020 and diesel JL Wranglers were recently spotted undergoing testing.
