Are the headlights on these JT's that bright? I get flashed all the time when my lights are on dim. They are adjusted correctly so I just flash them back to let them know that they can get even brighter.
Love the LED headlights option on my '20 JT and my wife's '21 JL Sahara. I can finally see at night.
Don't get flashed very often around Boston MA metro area. I've seen a few jeeps driving around in my area with offroad light bars on (above cab and bull bar mounted) in addition to their headlights at night and that seems a bit rude... In comparison to them, I doubt if anyone is going to think mine are too bright.

Yeah, that's crazy. Lightbars are common in MT, but I've never seen anyone lightbar at someone. I think there would be some bad outcomes if someone did that here, even as laid back as we are.
I get lightbar'd quite a bit. I think the majority of the time someone will flash me once, and then just turn on and leave on their high beams until they pass me. This happened even with the stock heigh Rubicon, on both of my diesels. I've adjusted them every direction I could, and not matter what I get flashed.

However, I am NOT the type to hit you back with a bunch of other lights just to "teach someone a lesson" or to be spiteful. That just increases the potential risk of injury for both parties.

Though, If someone hits me with enough light that I can't see at all, and leaves them on... I will be sure to let them know that I have a few extra lights that can darken their outlook real quick. But it's never for anyone who just flashes me, or who just hits me with their high beams. That's no big deal

I have a 23 Rubicon with OEM LEDs I noticed when I was aiming them after I got my tires that the cut off on the driver side does have a bit of a dip in it and it’s directly in the oncoming traffic so I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this or if jeep has addressed it at all but mine are the black OEM LED headlights I also never noticed there were black LED headlights and silver LED headlights. Anyway anyone else with factory LEDs noticed this dip in the cut off that I’m talking about? This isn’t the normal offset between the driver headlight and the passenger headlight

I have always aimed Jeep headlights by finding a level area- driving until the bumper is nearly touching the wall- slap a tape 2ā€ wide line across (ensuring level…) top of the tape edge @ the top of the light cut off. Driving straight back 25’ and making sure the top of the light cut off is at the bottom edge of the tape. In essence at 25’ the cutoff has dropped 2ā€.

The crappy part about non auto leveling LED’s is the dynamic weight in the back of the Jeep…. I swear even just 50# is enough to aim the lights upwards again.

I appreciate learning about adjusting just the driver's side. Nice.

I think way too many Jeep owners have their fog lights on when not needed.

I do cut to fogs on, headlamps off at stop lights for some obvious small cars.

I had auto leveling HIDs in a 2009 Grand Cherokee and they were garbage. They always had problems. Eventually I disabled the auto leveling.

Sorry to hear that- my experience is with vw/Audi and they are phenomenal- utilize a level sensor attached to the sway bar. Man…. Perfection.

I have factory LED Headlamps & I don’t recall getting flashed even after my 3ā€ lift & 37s. I assume my Jeep shop must have adjusted them after installation.

it really bothers me when people have fog light on when its not foggy. Bonus though is you'll know if the high beams are off.

Man I am getting blinded

I'm getting blinded regularly, and no it's not the fog lights I almost never use them and my headlights are positioned correctly. These new led lights just seem really bright to some dumb ass drivers who assume you are driving with brights on. I used to always dim my brights very early but it got so bad I wait until I know for sure they can see me dim them. That works. I mean it was like every third or fourth car would blast me.

Recommend using the light adjust procedure to double check. I was getting high beam flashes in my stock wrangler with factory LEDs and checked. I had to adjust my headlights down and the flashing stopped.

Happens a lot in my Gladiator while towing, so I may adjust the down too.

Good luck!

Enjoy reading when people with non-factory lights - meaning the added lights, so-called "driving lights", fog lights and other lights talk about "being flashed".
What's expected when deviating from what's legal and highway approved?

Even swapping bulbs in headlights is a deviation no matter how much you argue that "they are better" or just fine. If a locality wants to fine you for your lights - they can - because technically, any change to the equipped headlights is against federal regs.

There are good ones out there - I get that and agree - but seeing people say "I get flashed" and then read "bar, fogs, driving lights" and so on - DUH.
That's the sort I wish it was legal to shoot out their lights LOL

As a side note - these are seldom correct from the factory. Then you go messing with suspension and they are less correct. Go swapping bulbs - all bets are off because you've messed with the very design and intent.

I used to get flashed a lot while towing - the air bags took care of that. I can keep the truck's rear at near curb height now keeping the headlight aim more correct.
Everyone just needs to relax, the brightest and highest lights don't bother me that much, I just look away and go by. Too many people are waiting to be offended.

IIRC, with the Jeep parked 25 ft. away from a wall, the top of the headlight's beams should be at the 3 ft. mark.

Same here, they are fantastic on my wife’s
Mercedes. I rarely get flashed in normal driving, but if I’m hauling anything in the back it’s constant. If it was the fun flashed like I get at the lake I’d be cool with it, but this flashing gets old after a while.:)
