I can't connect Android Auto wirelessly on My Gladiator only with the USB cable.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong ???
My phone is paired (Pixel 7 Pro) with no issues.
So everytime I want to use Android Auto I have to plug, unplug the USB cable. Becoming annoying.
Thanks in advance.

Normal. I didn't think wireless android auto was a big deal until I rented a KIA Sole that had it.

Yeah, Unconnect 4 doesnt have it but Uconnect 5 does, which is in other dodges. I would have thought the 2023 had UC5 but nope, still 4. wired isnt bad but would like the option

The system KIA uses had no lag or not any noticeable amount.

Grab aaw or m1 dongle, plug it in the center console and use wireless Android auto.

+1 for the Motorola MA1. I have it hidden in the console.

I will say for long trips I have my phone on the charger anyway, but it's nice for just normal stuff and leaving my phone in my pocket or whatever but still getting AA.

By the way - the new coolwalk interface is really nice. It just appeared on mine yesterday.

They are enabling it slowly to users with what's called a "Feature Flag." The software is likely already on your phone, but they flip a bit on their servers to enable it. Mine just got enabled yesterday.

There's a reason - Google says the amount of data that's needed can't be done over BT. It's a Google thing. I searched and Google said it was a bandwidth issue.
But I'm not so sure it's a fact because you see adapters and devices that make it work and it's in other more advanced systems.

I plug in to stay charged anyway. Never considered wireless to be a "had to have".
That's been my thing - on a long drive using Waze and similar, the phone battery goes down FAST. Try driving from before sunrise to well into the evening almost none-stop save for gas, etc. - the phone can't do it without being plugged in/charging.

What if we don't want the extra crap on the screen and only want the nav? One reason I won't use google maps on the AA in my JT is because it's so full of garbage I can't make go away so I can see just the map/nav. Can you make all the other junk go away?

Us dinosaurs should be able to revert to a previous version pretty easily. I've done it with other apps. You just have to enable developer mode and then download the older version .apk file from a trusted source.
