I got an oil change at the dealer and refused the tire rotation as that is part of the promise Discount offers when selling the tires. As soon as the oil change was done, I drove the 30 minutes to the Discount that sold me the tires. I was also considering upgrading to 35s from 33s.. I didn't realize they actually don't like to do the free rotations as they are free, and told me I had to wait 4 hours to get it done. Its probably just like that in the Orlando area but just a warning if in a larger city, good chance they won't do the promised rotations. Or plan on waiting 4 hours to get them done. lol

I need an alternative to buy new 35s and do rotations without the bullshit games.

I've never had a problem with getting my tires rotated @Discount Tires in Sanford. However I always make an appointment and I'm
out of there pretty quick
That is actually where the dealer is that does all my work and oil changes, Greenway. Had I known the game, I would have tried Sanford first.

Also never had a problem with Discount Tire, but as mentioned since covid crap, appointments are the way to go. I even have to wait sometime with the appointments. @ Discount Tire here is awesome when it comes to their customer service.

Probably need to call and schedule it instead of just pop in and hope for the best

Every time I visit discount tire they’re packed with people. Make an appointment and be in and out quick.
Thank you all for your patience and your patronage! Waiting for services for an extended length of time can be frustrating to say the least. We all have better things to do, right?! Our stores are definitely getting busier this time of year. For those who are unaware we do offer appointments online, or you can reach out to your local Discount Tire location directly.

The only time popping in to Discount for something works is first thing in the morning. After that, they are swamped. If I dont go in first thing then I always get an appointment.

Ya schedule an appointment next time. That's what I did the last time I went there and the parking lot was full of people with a 4hour wait, but they got me in and out in 45 minutes!

Was the dealer going to charge for the tire rotation?
Why refuse the service when you are already there and going to be waiting anyway?
Most places now offer service appointments, and that reduces the wait time.
Discount Tire is always busy. I wouldn't try to get anything done there without an appointment.
And you drove an extra half hour to try and get a 'free' service?

Yes they were charging an additional 15 or 20 bucks, but not only that when I had free oil changes and rotations I had them do it once and they used the wrong size wrench for the bolts and scratched the black off of them on the edges. After the free oil changes ended, the upsells at the dealership are annoying af from oil treatments to tire rotation which he still had on and I had to remind him twice to remove.
I would have tipped the guy at Discount a 10 anyway so it really wasn't the extra cash, it was more avoiding the damage.

I have only had to wait once at the local discount tire and had to schedule an appointment once because they were really busy during a sale which people took advantage of. Luckily I paid the day of the sale for the tires and had the work done on a different day
