Did you go with the cut or no cut option?
I will be doing the comp bumper where you cut into the side of the bed. It looks very clean and gains a lot of clearance. They have a flip up license plate option for the comp winch and I’m considering putting my receiver hitch behind it but I never tow. Here’s another photo of the bumper

I tow a small teardrop camper to most events and trails so have a recievever is pretty important for me. I'm sure they won't rate the hitch but I'd imagine if you can hook a winch up it can pull a 1500lb trailer. Waiting for the instructions and a bit more info to come out, but it looks very promising.

I drag the hell out of the rear bumper and I like the idea of trimming the pinch seam for clearance more than chopping the bed and loosing bed length.

You wouldn't need the fairlead but this shows the flip up license plate mount. If you take your stock receiver and tie it back into the frame and weld it in, it would be plenty strong to tow a small trailer. No shop or company will give you a tow rating but if a good welder put it in correctly you'd have no issues.

I drag my rear bumper everywhere! Going down obstacles it's annoying but it's much worse going up steep obstacles where it really limits what you can do, drags and ultimately reduces traction. I love the motobilt bobbed bed, but I'm not willing to give up my bed storage. I use my jeep to 'overland' and use it all winter for to carry skis and snowboards. I think this is a great in between option that will allow a lot more clearance. The integrated skid plates are are also going to be very helpful. No more using steel-it all over my bumper!!

Have you looked at the Motobed? Lots of storage options, armor, and clearance.

I have but I don't think it's worth the price once you factor in paint and install. Plus, my bed rack wouldn't attach to it.

We will have the instructions out next week some time for the rear bumper, We are not allowed to label it as a Tow hitch so its an Accessory Receiver But we have used it to pull our taco trailer around at trail hero

Awesome! I figured you're limited as to what you can call the hitch reciever but it's good to see how you are using it. Looking forward to reading into the install. I assume you're blue/white rig is running the no cut option and the red jeep has the bed cut, correct?

Yes ! that is correct The Red has the Comp version and the White has the Non Cut Both of them use the same center section so If you start with one you can change it up down the road if you choose

Love the look, hate the price tag! :headbang:
We get It, Unfortunately Production cost is not cheap nor is trying to keep it in a certain price range for WD partners to be able to sell it.

When you release the instructions would you mind posting a link to this thread or an announcement? I'd like to see how the cuts are made before I make the decision between the cut/no cut option. Thanks

Sure thing, I want to say its 22 or 22.25" down from the top of the bedrail for the cut location

@Artec I would love to see a good side-by-side picture of the cut versus the no cut Bantam rear bumper.

Additionally, it be nice, on the website to see the price for the additional skid plates, and the receiver you said you have.

I’d love to be able to know what my complete cost is going to be and to know exactly how it’s going to look. Thanks!
