I’m waiting 6 months for my tonneau…
So I will be patient.
On the up side, I will improve my upper arm strength
On the downside, I may have to start stowing a step stool

Cool, and bummer. Be surprised if you actually get them from Qtech. Horrible customer satisfaction here on the forum. Hopefully someone else has them for sale. Thanks
Fortunately, they will drop ship from RSE directly. I ordered mine from Quadratec because I have a friend who is a Qtec dealer and got a good buy on them. They actually came a week early. I don't usually order from them for the reasons mentioned but the price I got made it worth the chance.

I have a tracking number! Thought I would update just in case someone is considering ordering one. I’m excited. Will be my very first “wrenching “ LOL

Heed the warnings about the body bolts. Heat and small back and forth movements with a breaker bar will be your friend in this endeavor. Whatever you do, don't use an impact to remove them.

Update: ordered on Sunday and was in my garage the following Wednesday. Packaged perfectly. Not a single scratch nor a single missing piece. Quadratec’s support was great also.
I believed that my determination would be enough to install it. I lacked experience. I wanted to be able to install on my own. In the end, I wasn’t strong enough (I’m 5’1”, 120#). The step sliders are heavy. And probably not the best first project. I had to ask my husband to help. I feel a great sense of accomplishment now that they are installed and operational. The body bolts he had to loosen. I’m grateful to have had the advice previously mentioned. The path that we chose for the electrical wasn’t ideal since we were 4 inches shy of being able to connect the on/off switch. We couldn’t figure out a better way to route it. My husband added 4 inches to wire. Two of the pinch weld holes weren’t aligned. He had to drill them a bit. And at the end we had to borrow a torque wrench to get to 80# on the body bolts. I wasn’t comfortable moving the factory trim, but when we replaced it, it looked great. All in all I wasn’t completely self reliant but did learn a lot about my jeep. What’s inside or under her isn’t as mysterious anymore.

No shame in getting help with those. I'm quite a bit bigger than you and I still spent hours getting those dang bolts out!

I actually asked my wife take a turn but she was all "I can't, I'm 8 months pregnant and shouldn't be working that hard..." She's always got an excuse to get out of helping me :)

No shame in taking your time or asking for tips and help. I still need to get busy and install a lift kit I've had for over a year. :headbang:
But have been traveling quite often, dragging a trailer with 4wheeler around, building a "tiny house" and a emergency surgery. The last one can knock some dents into your plans, performance and perspectives.

Here are a few pictures of the step/sliders…a.k.a our first wrenching project:0)
The ones with my sneakers will give you an idea of size. They are ladies 5 1/2. That might give you scale. I can also measure if anyone needs to know any specifics. I’m 5’1” and really could manage with just the slider, but I like stepping on the retractable part which therefore keeps everything clean. I know… it’s a Jeep. Our daughter is petite and can get in a lot easier. Now I can justify 35’s bc my height won’t be a problem. LOL

Btw, my sneakers are clean. They’re just stained with Georgia red clay.

Ryan, your wife hasn’t figured out that being that far along she can get out of doing anything.
