You are as confused as my HOA President.

Yes, your JT is a Truck.

Pop your hood and you will see this little sticker from the controlling authority that has defined it as such.

I tried to be nice with my HOA when they came at me over my old Silverado , our rules said " No Trucks of Any Kind", they wanted to play a game.

After spending close to $10k they had to fold due to "Selective Enforcement".

20 of the 27 unit owners, including the HOA president drove "LDT" classified vehicles and were not harassed.

When having to rewrite their rules, they blindly followed the verbiage I copied from the CAFE / NTHSB / EPA guidelines.

Now Light and Medium Duty Trucks are allowed.

They went being Karens over my Single Cab , Short Bed with an ARE tonneau to unknowingly allowing Crew Cab , Longbed Duallys up to 1 ton.

Anyone else freaking love their truck? I’ve had my JTR Manual for a year and a half now and couldn’t be happier. It’s the best. That’s all.
Definitely been fun but I also have more money in upgrades than I paid for the Jeep.

Have thoroughly enjoyed my stock 2020 JT Overland since purchasing new.

Now at 76k miles, the messages have started:
P0023 error code (cam position sensor bank 2) and intermittent "Stop/Start Unavailable - Service Auto Stop Start System".

-Replaced the Bank 2 cam position sensor - did not resolve. If I clear the check engine, it comes back on after a hot start (like a short 15 min stop at the store).
-Not due for an oil change, but close enough that I'm going to do one and see if that affects the P0023 error.
-Separated and charged both batteries (main and secondary) independently - both read 12.3 volts on my multimeter prior to reconnecting them.

I don't use the ESS - I press the start button, then press the ESS OFF, then put it in gear.

Daily driver - this vehicle does not sit for more than a day or two (slow weekends).

When my late wife and I had just married and I moved into her townhome, I started getting notices that my truck wasn't allowed. I kept ignoring the multiple "tickets" until I noticed the HOA president purchased a new Dodge Ram. No more notices after that. We were in the process of building a single family home, so didn't care about their silly rules. That was 25 years ago. HOAs have not improved at all.

Not to ruffle feathers, but I loved my JL Rubicon so much, I bought a JT Mojave to go with it. Now, I like looking at my Mojave more. It's still under 700 miles, but v1.5 is complete.

My JL is my off-road machine. Lots of parts coming for both though. The Mojave is getting some AEV parts to (sort of) match the JL.
