Finally did it got a sarge green Gladiator. I have wanted one for a long time. Been on here learning all I can. When this ecodiesel got mark down 26% I had to have it. Love it so far 26 mpg. So here come the modifications slowly!

Nice ride bud. Sarge green was also on my list for exactly that reason that the 2 colours look SO good together.
But I did get the tan seats!!

Very nice, like the Sage Green

One of the things that has been mentioned is the mileage. Couple that with the torque and I am very interested. We drag our current 2020 JTR behind our motorhome and look for crawling opportunities. He have about 45k miles on it and after 2500 miles in 5 days recently (11.3 - 12 mpg), I decided to get serious about the diesel JTR.

My question is, is it a good choice. With past problems, recalls, and it no longer being offered, is the diesel reliable Once I’m convinced of that, I’m going to seriously search for a new ‘23.

would really appreciate any any thought opinions.

Many thanks,

Jim

Please keep in mind, the forums are where people come to bitch, complain and over dramatize everything... I can only assume when you speak of "past problems " - "recalls" your refering to the HPFP and the tailgate lock ? Other than this... what are all the problems you hear about ? Keep in mind, even the failure rate on the HPFP, is less than 1%... from my experience and IMO, the diesel is a very reliable platform and any issues have been grossly exaggerated. The diesel IS THE ONLY platform I would own in the JT format.

*ask any long term owner of the diesel on this forum that actually "knows" the expectations/limitations of the JT, they will say they love it and would purchase it again.
