Thank you for all you’ve been to us, your hard work, the torque values you posted and just positive input on this forum. You’ll be missed.
Thanks. I had the baller joints in my cart six times over the holiday weekend. I hope they do great for you!

Sorry you're leaving man. Enjoy the new ride and I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts in comparison to the JT.
That's not typical fodder for here.
They're two 4x4 pickups, but it will never be an apples to apples comparison like Canyon to Tacoma to Ranger to Frontier.
Gladiator stands alone in way too many unique ways.

Hey guys.
I made the trade today and will be moving out soon.

A HUGE thank you to everyone here who has contributed and helped so much over the last 2-1/2 years or so!
Honestly, about the best and most resourceful forums I have been a part of, regardless of subject matter.
Great people doing great things!

I have a few things to tidy up before I go.

The most important one is the sticky on torque values and service manuals in the Maintenance section.
The resources are hosted on my Google Drive, and they need to be re-hosted somewhere similar by either another member or by forum ownership, @JAY.
I'll hang around for a bit until that's worked out.
Someone can either PM me new links, and I will edit the original post, or they can restart the whole thing with new links and let me know when it's done.
It's just too much information and work to abandon.

Other than that, I may have a couple of leftover accessories to sell off. I'm offering them to local friends first, just to save the headache of shipping and payments.

It's been an absolute pleasure!

Here's your obligatory hate picture for the new ride. 😂

If you’re going to make the full size switch, that’s a pretty amazing choice. I’m a gm person as well. Looks great.

This is a mid. Canyon.
I would have loved to have considered the Hurricane RAM, but it would stuff my garage more than I wanted it to be stuffed.

They make that canyon look big. I thought it was a sierra.

It feels big on the road. Gonna take some getting used to.
Not too long ago I saw that the new Tacoma is dimensionally identical to a 90's F-150.

I think my last GM product was a 1980 LUV truck.
This thing ain't that 😆

@JAY messaged me about rehosting the torques specs and manuals.
We'll make sure that stuff gets preserved and maintained for all who use them.
Sorry to see you go. You have been of great help to many of us. Thank you and enjoy the new Denali!

Good luck with the new ride, it looks good. I will miss your contributions here. You sort of dropped some hints this was coming in some prior posts you made. All the best and thanks.

It was several things.

I had already been considering it, but two recent factors weighed heavily.
One was that Jeep continues to throw deep discounts on new vehicles trying to move inventory, which in turn drives used values farther down.
The other was that my most recent oil analysis showed very early signs of possible trouble. Even though I had a 7/100 CPO warranty, I just didn't want to deal with the headaches that might be on the horizon from that.

Another was simply comfort and drivability. While the Jeep couldn't be matched off-road, the hardware that makes that happen takes away from the on road experience. I had the Mojave as dialed in as probably SAV Jeep could be, but it's still an attention-demanding drive.
On the way home yesterday, I drove for miles on a smooth flat stretch of Interstate and almost forgot there was a steering wheel.

At the end of the day, the Jeep was a fun fling. We enjoyed immensely. We never off-roaded hard core, and sadly, I never got to even drive in the snow. We went on some cool day trips, but I'm thinking of something coast to coast now, and comfort and reliability are moving to the front burner. I got out of the business of taking vehicles to their limits and beyond years ago. It's an expensive endeavor, and not very practical.
The vehicle gets me to the place I want to be, and most of them have roads that the Canyon can handle.
