My 1953 M38-A1 with a Buick V-6. Photo taken in 1970 when I returned from Vietnam.
I loved that jeep.Extraordinarily cool vibe, spec and era of civilian jeep. That is an amazing image.
Much respect and admiration for your military service.
I saw this thing in a car show today, and have no idea what it is, but it has 7 slots and the right tires.

Just think...........15 ~ 20 years from now. We will be posting pictures of the Jeeps we have now in this thread.
Can certainly see why. Is that a winch upfront to go w the aftermarket front free wheeling hubs?I loved that jeep.
Another fantastic image. It’s a beautiful CJ. What was it a 232, 258 or the v8? Goodrich tyres. Amazing. History repeating in the current era.![]()
My brand new 73 CJ-5. Paid $3400 for it brand new! Those are Goodrich tires stock.
It’s a honey. Properly. Is that the iron duke engine? And the 4 speed? I wouldn’t change it. That thing is priceless. 4 banger Jeeps are special. So what year is she precisely? She looks clean. My oh my.![]()
This is my weekend cruiser. That scrambler made me want to post a pic of it. She’s 100% stock except for the tires. The little 4 banger ain’t much but me and the girls seem to make it to the ice cream shop just fine. I get why guys drop a Chevy 350 in these, but I smile every time I drive it so I can’t bring myself to change a thing.
Seems that you gave away your last pair of shoes for this car ...![]()
