I have two Rubicons that have never done the Rubicon. They don't make a Hell's Revenge or Steel Bender edition. To be fair. 95% of Rubicons has never been on the Rubicon trail either![]()

By someone, you mean me, except you’ve missed the point of the whole post.I can't believe someone is concerned enough about what color another Jeep owner paints their tow hooks. You can paint them Piss Purple if that's what you like as far as I'm concerned. I didn't like the silver trim around the original equipment fog lights on the plastic bumper (the same as a Rubicon plastic bumper) because I have a blacked-out grill too, so I painted mine flat black to match. I thought one of the attractions for Jeep owners was to "Make it your own!"
If your piss has any tint of purple I'd probably be more concerned about that than tow hooks or hood decals on someone else's Jeep. Sounds like a serious medical condition.I can't believe someone is concerned enough about what color another Jeep owner paints their tow hooks. Gold it good!By someone, you mean me, except you’ve missed the point of the whole post.
I never said that I cared about the red hooks(and that was only one of many things I described) but was sharing because the whole of the vehicle was odd/unexpected.
Heck, I have gold tow hooks on mine.

It does help to start from the beginning of the post before you chime in.I'm not the one who was concerned about color if you read the post.
Yes, I'm aware that you would not even care if they were "piss purple", which you should be concerned with? Piss isn't purple and if yours is you need a doctor ASAP.I'm not the one who was concerned about color if you read the post.

Those also appear to be Rims off a 2015 JKU Wrangler![]()
Saw an odd bird in the wild today. It’s either a sport S or overland, but it has red tow hooks on the front(actual hooks, not covers), a single red on the rear, plastic rear bumper, 285s, and rubicon hood stickers (on a non-rubicon hood).
So, did someone get duped or did someone go through a lot of effort to make their non-rubicon look the part?
Just reminds me of all the base model muscle cars that folks would throw SS/GT/Z28 badges on. Didn’t think I’d see that on a gladiator of all things![]()
Hello fellow Groot. Sweet rig! Those are non-Rubicon fenders. I have an overland. The fenders are shorter and narrower. Only Rubicon‘s and Mojave go up to the hood line when you look at them from the side.
I have red hooks, front and rear, and the name of the truck in the same font as the Rubicon. I did it because my color combination is black with red accent

Those who are observant, knowledgable of factory options, and curious enough to question it.Who cares? Whoever that is isn't hurting anyone.
You could have just said "gatekeeping"Those who are observant, knowledgable of factory options, and curious enough to question it.
