Now that my Guardian trial has ended my service records are gone and the vehicle health report stopped as of January 16. I keep all my paper records anyway

I have always kept paper but did like the electronic version so that any dealership could access in case of a warranty issue or if I decide to trade vehicles

When I took my Gladiator for warranty work on Monday I asked the service advisor (who's been a stellar guy to work with) if those records show up or display in their system he said no?

IF this is the case, why is that data not being looped or moved over to reflect services done outside the dealership service department? I do my own oil changes, cabin air filters, brake fluid flushes and so on. Kinda silly to have two independent tracking mechanisms that do not communicate with one another.

For example, when bank 2 decided to do Penastar things and eat the cams because the lifters and rockers failed.......BUT I have no record of oil changes because I do them myself and log them in the Jeep app........that same service advisor, tech and dealer are going to all say the same thing.....well bro, you never did an oil change and deny the warranty claim. The tech's don't want warranty work.....why, because they will only pay half the labor as a non-warranty job. I've work in many shops and know the flat rate labor games......its almost, if not criminal.

Its bad enough trying to get the dealers to do warranty work........every dealer around me does want to deal with my corrosion issue on my 2019 Wrangler and now I'm 9 months outside of the warranty. Pay all this money for new vehicles to have the security of a warranty only to be dismissed or passed off.

There needs to be better tracking mechanisms and more refined warranty processes. My local dealer straight up told me they will NOT touch a Jeep for corrosion issues because they lost over 6 digits in warranty claims Stellantis fused to pay them for.......with vehicles under warranty.

I can "complain" because I'm a consumer..........but I can also provide recommendations to fix said issues, BUT that will not pass once it hits the boardroom.......because its all about money. Maybe if said issues and mechanisms were corrected for pennies on the dollar......there would be more sales based on loyalty. Or a couple bucks in QC training/practices would saves at least 10x of the investment. Having to warranty the paint on these Jeeps in some/alot of cases is over $10,000 per vehicle.......15-25% what the customer paid for the vehicle........in other words the whole profit marge for the vehicle when sold new.

Sorry for the rant, but as an engineer for DoD I deal with the most baffling, non-cost effective practices known to mankind there is out there......the Government can raise more money via taxes or debt......Jeep can only jack prices so much before the ole bankruptcy hits and out of business.

Minty, thanks, for the heads up. I just presumed that since the jeep app had access to other info on my vehicle it would sync my DIY maintenance with my shop visits. Looks l need to find another app to log my maint that will allow me to input receipts, and inspections etc.

Funny thing is the maintenance history for my vehicle reported the date the truck was recieved at the dealership, the date they applied the window tint, and a few other items.
So, somehow the vehicle was sync'
d to some official database. 2 days after my purchase I downloaded the app registered set up my VIN and saw the data. So the techs at the dealership updated a database somewhere associated to the VIN.
Disappointed.
