Oh for sure, figured the OP had been beat down enough so I thought I'd give the most optimistic number. I would imagine the re-gear alone would knock out a majority of prospective buyers.

Not that it's not desirable, but just that it's something that requires you to know what you're doing and the #1 rule of buying is to not buy someone else's project.

OP if you can weather it for a little while, we may see used car prices go up again.

Believe it or not, the same people who were crying about prices only a few months ago are now in favor of higher costs, including 25+% for certain new vehicles. In addition to higher prices, these policies could lead to further issues with new car availability due to supply chain disruptions from things like higher part prices and manufacturers being unwilling to hold the same amount of inventory or restrictions on trade between certain countries.

Case in point, Bill Ackman recently took a stake in Hertz with the thesis that tariffs and the resulting increases to consumer prices will lead to another COVID-esque rise in used car prices.

You're smoking crack if you think you're getting $50k, but in a year or two you might see a substantial increase.

For what it’s worth, the quotes Carvana and Carmax gave me for my Ram jumped up $2500 this week. You might get a quote from them as they’re offers are pretty aggressive.

For what it’s worth, the quotes Carvana and Carmax gave me for my Ram jumped up $2500 this week. You might get a quote from them as they’re offers are pretty aggressive.

My dealer beats them.
They have been crap when trying to get decent numbers out of them. Driveway topped them on every comparison - by thousands.
KBB, Carmax, Carvana, they all have really lowballed me over the last 3 years.

After two weeks on marketplace. My gladiator sold for 45k to a private seller. They were able to get a loan as well. So for anyone coming to this thread for advice on selling theirs, don’t let the nay sayers discourage you.
