I didn't realize until the recent" Jt most made in America truck" post that some pstar v6's are made in Mexico and some in usa. ... Any correlation in cam-rocker problems ?

I doubt they will release this information to the public. Am sure inside stallantis this had to be study many times over.

Not sure if the JL Pentastars are also made in Mexico, but if you go to the neighboring Wrangler forum, there are plenty of posts regarding cam-rocker problems there too.

Good question. I noticed on the American made list that the JL was a good bit farther down. Maybe their engines solely come from Mexico?

A couple of Gladiator Facebook groups I am on, there has been a handful of early 2025's with wiped RH intake cams and they were made in the USA. I suspect even though assembly shifted to USA, many of the same suppliers remained from Mexico production.

It seems that all the speculation concerning Stellantis knowing the root cause & solution is confirmed. This is a Pandora's box being cracked open.

Are you referring to the TSB meaning the issue is resolved? I hope that’s the case, but wish I shared your optimism. It’s been going on for so long, I’m proceeding with caution.

Also came across this website talking about a TSB for repair kits on the intake cams and gives production dates of on or before a certain date (mid to late 2024) being applicable for and makes me read into anything after that date (August 19th 2024 for Gladiators) should have "fixed" parts.

Of course it's PUG only! The GEN 1 didn't have VVL. "appears to only affect" - how could it possibly affect any others? Sorry, that's a very unnecessary statement as the two don't share cams or followers or many of the other involved parts.
As far as Charger and so on - I posted somewhere that those appear to have different cam profiles, so I wonder if it's a different blank or at least a different supplier.
JL and JT share the same cam profiles.

Mine was built March 2025............

If they are aware of the problem a class action law suit should be filed and we should all receive a 100000 mile unlimited time on our engines
"Are aware" and "were aware" are two different things.
You'd have to prove they knew about it earlier and did nothing - they knew the cause, the solution, and sat on it.

So it's "they are aware" - they are, and there's a solution. You must show they WERE and didn't supply a solution.

I'd also like to know why the vast majority- over 99% of all PUG engines have not had this issue.
Is it possible there were multiple suppliers for the cam or the blank or the suppliers who performed certain processes. If that's the case - they'd have to track down that specific supplier.

These things aren't always to clear-cut as people want to believe.
We still don't have a full story.

But it will likely come out - there's ALREADY class action suits in progress. Discovery will uncover a lot more info.
