I got tired of trying to fit my elbow on the windowsill when the window is rolled up. Couldn't find anything like this other than the expensive canvas one with the pockets and the cupholder. This is simple, prints in 4 hours using TPU 95A and stays in place where you want it.

Feel free to print one for yourself. If you want me to print one for you, I'm sure we could work something out.

I appreciate the effort and then just openly sharing your hard work.

Question to OP: how secure is it with the windows down? That’s about the only time I put my arm on the window ledge anyway. When it’s up I just use the arm rest.

Are the little dots/marks on the panel from the armrest? Maybe make the base corners curved?

I can roll the window up and down and it stays in place. It's not wedged in there... It just leveraged. It should be just fine driving around with it with the window rolled down.

No. Those marks are because I bought the jeep used. Printing it with tpu shouldn't leave marks - it's soft, flexible material and it actually gives when your elbow is on it... It doesn't dig in

I like the idea with the pockets etc
I saw a similar one, but I couldn't justify that kind of money on something I really don't need when I could just spend about 30 minutes designing one. It only took me 3 iterations to get it just right, so I only spent about $6 on material to get to a finished product.

The complaint I read with the ones like what you linked is that they raise up the elbow about an inch or more and although that doesn't seem like a lot, it's more awkward than you think. That's why my version is slotted so it sits much lower and it's a more comfortable position.

totally agree
I think I would make something like yours with some molle and maybe something added to the stabiliser. I think I might press the edge that is on the plastic a bit too much and leave a scratch or something
:rock:very cool though
