I was leaving post yesterday and saw a white JL coming up behind me. White angry grill, lights all over it, roof rack, looked like a small lift. As I pulled into the left turn lane they went to the right, and it had 20+" cheap chromed wheels with low profile "off road" tires (pretty sure they were wheels meant for cars). Ugly as sin.

I made every attempt I could to NOT make eye contact or acknowledge they were there.

I did my lift in the driveway.

Yeah, I've installed at least a half dozen in driveways. When I had a garage it was to damn small to have installed a lift kit in it. My XJ about wouldn't fit before a lift kit after I had tools in it. When I was deployed I could barely fit my 05 Wrangler Unlimited in it. I rolled it in blocked tires.

Yesterday drove to trail with dog for a walk then home, tried to "talk dog into going back for second time with 4 wheeler to help her burn off energy. She was not interested.

So 4 wheeler already loaded up for today's trip. I "remembered why one set of my boots were hardly ever worn" heel slides around rolled ankle on flipping rock. Back to good old jungle boots.

When my Dad was in the Army he found out one of the QuarterMaster guys was over ordering stuff to sell on black market. He’d just go in and check for his “order” on a regular basis. I got to enjoy a couple good field jackets and more than a couple sets of Jungles from that bit o wisdom.
