My ‘22 Gladiator Overland was a GREAT vehicle for me. With just a leveling kit and good Falken 34” tires it got me into places where most folks won’t go. But as I get bolder in my off-roading it started showing some slight shortfalls. So while I considered my next set of mods and cost I decided to pay a visit to my local Jeep store and well…

My old baby…

stayed at the dealer and I drove home in my new baby, a brand spankin’ new ’26 Mojave X!

Congrats!
I did a similar thing a few months ago. I went from the '21 Sport S with max tow to a Rubicon. I think the Mojave might have been a slightly better fit for my uses, but the dealer had a leftover '25 Rubicon and made a deal I couldn't pass up.

Congrats to you too! The Rubicon was my bucket list vehicle for a long time and this was a HARD choice! But in the end having the actual Mojave desert right in my backyard and this thing pretty much designed for desert running which is 90% of my off-roading, the chips fell where they fell.

Happy trails buddy!

Retired. Beach bum.
I’m not off roading much anymore so the Sport S hardtop, automatic, with all LEDs except headlights, ACC, active subscription to 911/SOS UCONNECT, at the price paid $34,600 New, including Jeep extended warranty for 7/100 fits the bill for us retirees just fine. But if I were to choose between a Rubicon or Mojave? I would go Mojave.

Living in NH, with terrain like this in my backyard, the Rubicon is probably better than the Mojave for offroading here. But truth is my JT is my daily driver, and I've got several other off-road toys that won't leave me stranded if they break. So for just dealing with the dirt, mud and snow roads that are just part of driving places in rural NH, the Mojave would be a bit more comfortable.

You know, even if you don't go off-road much a lot of folks don't understand hw nice it is to own a Gladiator. This is my fifth Jeep product and the Gladiator is the FIRST Jeep I've owned that is wife/dog approved for long highway trips. Actually she has a VERY nice brand new SUV with every bell and whistle including the most advanced tech, that is imminently more highway friendly but seems like since I got my '22 Overland anytime we head out together it's her telling me "Let's take YOUR car" :jk:

While at the dealer I had an option of 2 Mojave Xs. The first one was black which by itself it's a no go living just a few miles away from the actual Mojave desert. But the deal killer was I looked at the tires and they were MTs?!?!?!? So I asked the sale guy who was the brain surgeon that ordered a Mojave with MUD Terrain tires to be shipped to Nevada?!?!?!? He laughed so loud I thought he'd pass out.

This is MY everyday playground. About 10 miles from my house and in the middle of nowhere.

Though I do spend time in the norther climates in the mountains too. This pic was taken in Montana in early July. Yep permanent snow in the mountains, this trail was technically closed. Good thing no one told my Gladiator...

Mine came with muds too. I really liked them but replaced with R/T and they have served me well.

My first Rubicon came with MT Firestones from the factory, Lord I learned to HATE those tires real quick. They were NOISY!!!!! You could hear that Jeep rumble from a mile away. 🤣🤣🤣

I’m sure the new ones are much better but I just have a loooong memory. My current environment is mostly desert driving, sand, washboard dirt roads, and the occasional rocks and boulders. But a few times during the winter I’ll have to contend with occasionally deep snow when I go skiing or visiting friends in CO or MT so a good set of ATs serves me very well.

First run today. Went on a trail I know well so I could do an objective comparison between old and new. Well, I was able to go twice as fast with half the rattle! Felt like someone ironed out the trail. Wife was with me and said if she’d known it was such a massive difference in ride she would have sent me shopping years ago.

I’m happy with the upgrade… 👍👍👍
