I like the look of it, but my bed will be where the dogs travel whilst driving.

That being said, I plan to put my own l-track for rails, instead of the factory... if I do go this route, I hope there will be a way to mount it on that style cargo rail.

What do you about rain and other inclement weather? I am trying to figure out a way to put my dog kennel in the back and still have the dog protected. A full canopy like rld that costs 3500 is just too expensive.

For me, I only plan to put dogs back there with some sort of top. I have been thinking that a softtopper or bestop cover would be fine, but I'm worried if that would still be too hot (those are under $1k, have removable sides and are pretty "Jeepy".) I keep watching for Gladiator friendly truck toppers that I could put a carpet or insulation in to keep it a bit cooler, but still don't know what I'll do.

Hey alright! Now i know my 900lb motorcycle will fit on there if need be. Also, the dog looks like its laughing at them up in the truck bed.

I like it. It's a bed cover that doubles as a flatbed. Put some hinges and gas shocks on that thing so it can be tilted upward for ease of using the bed and you've got a winner.

That's exactly what's in the works.

Bonus points if you can find some way to make it weathertight and keep the price where the average American could buy one without a second mortgage.

Thank you,
Will you be able to put various rails and such on there for bikes and tents, etc.?

This is the first thing I thought of when I saw this. Great idea... but... what about handling water... it's pouring and you want what's in the bed to stay dry. yes, no?

These are reasonably common is Aust now...but generally on legs so you can access the standard tub and then use the secondary storage.
Most people are using them for roof top tent set ups but below roofline on tub racks, and they are extremely good in that scenario
