I have Rubi, so no Sport sticker in place...but I have heard, just heating them up a bit and peeling off should work.

Are there two nuts that hold the jeep logo on with bolts through those holes, or the holes are just there and covered up by the jeep logo?

I wouldn't think there would be nuts. I'm thinking 2 of the letters have dowels to help line up and center the logo in manufacturing. I think one of the videos of the assembly line shows a brief moment where they're pressed onto the tailgate.

ool would be ideal if you didn't have to take the tailgate Part to take them off.

Has anyone removed the tailgate badge, re-finished and re-installed? I'm thinking about changing the color scheme on my Rubi. Would love to see pics and get a tutorial of the process.

I think the badge on the tailgate is too small. It looks like an afterthought. I would love to see some repalcement badging that still follows the Rubicon color scheme that says Jeep (only larger) or keeps the size the same but says Gladiator instead.

I'm thinking of just going with a Sport rear logo on my Rubicon. Deals with the holes and removes the red and shiny bits.

Front decals etc. can just be peeled off. Will need an all black Trail Rated badge, but those are out there.

I plan on a 2 step modification. I will first plasti-dip the emblem then cover the surface with an orange decal. Essentially the sides will be black with orange tops.

Anyone with a gladiator able to shoot me a straight on picture of the emblems with surface measurements? I would like to start making the decals so i can slap them on day 1.
You might be my Jeep doppleganger. I'm also currently in a 14 JKU but haven't ordered my Sting-gray Gladiator yet. I think Anvil (my current color) and Sting-Gray are better complimented by orange accents than by red. I hope you do some DIY writeups or show your completed emblem re-color, I'm intrigued. Are you going to re-do the Rubicon sticker? the dashboard?

I guess i'm the minority here. While I do think the retro emblems of the JT6 concept are cool, I am generally not a fan of emblems to begin with so once I get my JT, I am happy the emblems are just stickers, because I plan to remove all of the emblems and stickers. UNLESS, the Scrambler concept "Heritage" stripes are confirmed, and then I will be looking to replicate the retro badges.
I am in the minority as well then. Once I started de-badging (99 TJ Sahara), I've never looked back. I actually have a different complaint as the JT has an indent for the Trail Rated badge so I was 'forced' to leave that one on (Once that happened, we actually left the Jeep and the LE badge on for now, but they will come off!) Maybe the best option for all of us is to give us a blank canvas (de-badgers happy) and the one's who enjoy the extras can spend minimally to achieve what they're looking for?!?!? I understand that requires additional spend, but it's minimal. Had my tailgate been stamped, I would have lost my mind and the cost to remedy that would be substantial compared to the other route. I really dislike when people say 'first world problems' and then cite some asinine situation like not getting enough special sauce on a Big Mac, but I guess a situation like this is considered a 'Jeeper' problem? If so, I suppose we're lucky we have them!
