Does anyone know if pixiedecals could do something like this for the tailgate. I LOVE what this does for the look of the truck. Have a bunch of other items I want to purchase from pixiedecals and would love to have them all match materials and looks.... I'm a bit OCD.

You'd be surprised at how easily the badging (not the stickers) remove. A good quality, waxed dental floss slid behind the badge after very low heat from a hair dryer for about 20-30 seconds. Easy!
so i found this part to remove, but what about the sticky residue left over?
GOO GONE?

okay, last post on this thread until tonight....SORRY.

I'm taking my rear badge off and filling the holes before my tint guy does the matte black vinyl work.....i'm thinking of a few pieces of fiberglass behind the hole and then just body filler for the hole minimizing the sanding area.

Will this work? lol

I've used that in the past, but I was able to just use my fingers and peel it away. Don't get me wrong, it took some time, but it was worth it.

I used this to remove my Overland Badge. It worked well on the glue, but also stripped away some of the paint on the front of the badge. If you plan to do anything with the letters afterward, maybe try to cover up the front of them with tape or something.
Also, I used 2 rolls of dental floss that kept breaking. I think fishing line would probably work better.

oh that's a bummer.

what about my bondoing the holes idea? What do you guys think about that?
With the amount of money we spend on these vehicles, I'd have the dealer refinish the tailgate. It's the only reason I haven't taken the JEEP off myself. I have a couple more purchases that are priority.
