Front axle disconnect module gone, less than 5000 km on the Truck. Expected date of part to get in is late November. Jeep has been sitting at the dealership over a month already and can't be driven. Needless to say I'm completely disheartened right now. Can someone make me feel better about this, haha

Anyone else with this issue?

Absolutely loved my Rubicon until this happened

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response. I have been in touch with them over the past several weeks, they have escalated the issue to try and expedite the part, unfortunately there are no updates with the expected date as of now being later November.
Super frustrated obviously. Unsure why parts are not readily available. I could see a few weeks to a month tops, but over 3 months?

Not a good situation, but can't you still drive it without locking the axle(s) until the part arrives?

Seriously? Not something that could be pulled from an idle JL and used? 3 months is unacceptable.

Dealer told me it was unsafe to drive and won't let me take it off the lot

Never thought about that, I knew they wouldn't pull it off of another Gladiator, but the part is likely the same as the JL hey?

Is there not an equivalent lemon law in Canada? In the U.S. it would be purchased back after 30 days out of service.

This depends on the state, not the same everywhere.

I know in the JK that you could drive just fine without the sway bar disconnect module. Lots of JK owners pulled it out and used quick disconnects instead (my self included). And so long as the sway bar is still connected, there is no safety concerns.

And can the dealership legally withhold your vehicle in Canada after you have asked them to hand it over to you?

It's not the sway bar disconnect, it's the front axle disconnect. I have the same issue.
