Parking not straight

Anyone else having issues not being able to park straight? I even switched to straight lines on my backup camera; I always somehow angle even though I'm showing dead straight on the camera between lines.
Not sure if this is the result of my front axle being replaced?

I’ve noticed this on occasion too.
It’s left my scratching my head and re parking on several occasions.

Yep, same boat!
I put a small round blind spot mirror on the driver’s side view and that thing is magical for actually seeing where i am in a spot or while backing.

And I thought it was just me...glad to know that the mirrors and Backup Camera are messing with others...like the round mirror idea @Gren71 may have to look into that...

Agreed, i think the length of this beast is part of the issue. I use the parking lines for the spot in front of the vehicle for reference when backing in.

I actually had this same issue in my JLU. I realized that because the hood tapers in and I couldn't see the edge of my fenders I was actually angling the Jeep instead of straightening it when parking along side something. Backing in with nothing on either side was straight every time.

I tried a mirror off of Amazon. It attaches using 3M tape. I bought some additional tape and added another strip between the two pieces included. I'm going to see how it lasts before adding one on the other side. I'll probably also add some of the small round mirrors in the lower outside corners of the main mirrors.

This is exactly the cause. Same thing happens to me. And did in my jk as well.

Its not the length. These things aren't long compared to a full size pick up.

The JT has the same backup lines as GM products and they SUCK. If you try to line up the backup lines with parking lines you will be crooked every time.

I use the side mirrors and do much better.

Car makers need to change their software for backup lines to what Ford uses, I found them to be the closest to true.

As someone who drives a work truck daily (FedEx), mirrors mirrors mirrors, the back up camera is ONLY to be used to see how close you are to completing your parking while you are straight
