now i'm glad I got leather...you can always put some kind of insulating cover over the cloth, or hook yourself up to more trail lights

No, literally..... Is anyone constantly electrically shocked by their truck? I swear every time I get out and touch the door I get a nice blue static bolt into my hand. Different shoes, coat, etc... doesnt seem to matter. Ive never been literally shocked so much since I tried on those water proof socks....

neither myself or the wife has had any problems with being shocked

It happened in a few other vehicles I've owned. They both had cloth seats and carpeted floormats. I'd just spray some Static Guard on them once in a while and it seemed to help quite a bit. I haven't notice it yet in the Gladiator.

I have both, Weathertech in our Cherokee, and Jeep Mopar Topo mats in the Gladiator... there both about the same quality & thickness. ;{

I got shocked by my 2015 Challenger Scat Pack every day. The only solution was to trade it in for a Challenger Hellcat. Must have been the engine...Ha!

I get zapped daily. Was just thinking of this tonight getting out of my JT, thinking good thing I don't have anything flammable in the garage. I have cloth seats, doesn't matter what I'm wearing, I'll get a good zap every time.

A bit of trivia: It takes 30,000 volts for static electricity to jump a centimeter or 75,000 volt to jump an inch.

In this foto I pulled a nylon jacket off a fabric chair and put it on, then went turn the light off and got this shock.

We actually have some humidity, 31% but usually less than that. I'll see if I can get a video next time I get home at night and can better see the spark.
