I took delivery the user day and noticed today that I only have 4 of the movable tiedowns, 2 on the left and 2 on the right, but none on the front rail (under the rear window).

Should I have 4 or 6 of these?

Same for me [Edit: Canadian Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition]. And I would really love to get 4 more: 2 on the front and one more each side...

Same for me, had the dealer parts tech check, and they are not currently available separately to buy either.
Photo on Mopar site shows two on each rail for six total. They are checking this also.
Cheers

And the Gladiator reveal videos show 6. It would be useful to get a couple more somehow.

Owners Manual says "there are two adjustable utility rail cleats on each side of the bed."

So I guess we only get 4

I was a bit unimpressed that the tie downs on the trail rail are made of plastic. how much are they really going to be able to handle this cheap & plastic! I think for $895 trail rail system they could of at least made them out of aluminum.

Well, it’s not your plain Jane plastic, seems more like Delrin or a Polycarbonate material, fairly tough.
The Toyota’s rail cleats seem to be made of similar material, and a friend had five heavy duty commercial palates leaning on one in his truck.
Cheers

I built my own tie downs. Simply an eye bolt and nut. I found the plate in the same electrical section as the conduit nut.

experimented with using the plates as mounting points for hi-lift or shovel.

I like what you did there - thanks for posting pics/info too.

I wonder - will the spring nuts fit in the trail rail track vertically the way those nuts are designed to work (your pic shows it horizontal). And actually, the serrations on the nut are supposed to be grabbing the inside of the rail (or strut) - I wonder if they could be turned around with the springs facing the back of the trail rail. Of course it's most important if the nut can fit vertically.

Found these on Home Depot's site:

These look like the same nuts (less spring) used by Built Right for their bed side panels. If so, they are 1/4x20 nuts, and they do not fit vertically, and the serrated edges do not fit the trail rail.
Cheers

They don’t fit vertically. I normally have them turned at a 45 angle.

Nice find though, I was wondering where to get these, didn’t think about electrical supply...
Cheers

I also used the t-nuts from Home Depot. If you are willing/able to do a little trimming they will fit vertically with the spring towards the back of the rail. I ground the short sides of the nuts down just enough to get them to fit in the rails perfectly without having them angled at a 45. I also trimmed the springs and curled the cut ends back a little to prevent them from catching/scratching the inside of the bed rails. Home Depot sells t-nuts drilled and tapped in 1/4-20, 3/8-16, or 1/2-? thread so you can find the ones that suit your needs.
