Just trying to lighten the mood...
Well I hate to turn the lights out on this one or darken the mood, but I checked the latest rev of the owner manual - that bit about pushing the light itself is no longer there.
Yup, they edited that part out. Must be in only the first rev, or maybe first couple, but it's not in the rev3 version.
I guess they went to the dark side in the end.

I wonder if there is a switch that could be wired into the CAN-BUS to allow it to be activated from the bed. Would be awesome if someone made that along with the RF transponder so you could unlock the tailgate with the key in your pocket.

I have Govee rock lights up on my bed rack that I use as scene lights. The amber color is quite nice on the eyes in the dark. There's another set of govee bluetooth RGBWW light strips that I'm going to order to stick four in my under deck drawers 2 per drawer. And another set (4 per set) either pointing up from the bed rails or hanging down from the softopper bars, only problem is that might make it tough to semi-permanently wire them when collapsing my softopper. All this will be connected to my EcoFlow battery in a drawer like the rock lights are. None of this dual battery under the hood nonsense.
I might have to re-evaluate my life if a better battery in my future requires pure sinewave AC power... I saw Casey250 did a neat trick that got around that issue.
Why can't the dang bed lights just work!? My deck blocks them anyway, so I am just here to complain too.
