Yeah, that almost made us not sign up - but then we decided that since it falls on our 49th wedding anniversary and we usually can't think of what to buy for each other so we said "what the heck - let's do it!" :like:
Happy Anniversary!
Very rare these days that marriage makes it to its 10 year anniversary let alone 49th.

Ouch, $199 for Hollister. Don't they know we could just get a degree in off roading on Youtube? I'll still probably sign up.

Signed my new bride up for the Hollister event on Friday. We'll make a long weekend of it, maybe head into the Peninsula or down to Monterey, we'll see. $100/$200 who cares, 1st spectator is free and we both get t-shirts. It can be hard to teach stuff to your sweetie, this will be a great opportunity for both of us.

THANKS for the head's up on this, @JAY !!

I know what you mean, about instructing the bride. I just had to shell out about $2k to have a professional reiterate some dog training techniques I have been trying to teach here since the day she moved in.

"I don't know why we didn't try this sooner...!"

Enjoy the trip, I was too late to get in on the Michigan one.

If I end up going I will be staying in Monterey.

Wish they had something in the deep South Down here but we don't really have anything to climb. Can go riding on the beach though

Signed up for Southern Missouri. Stock Sport S (4.10) suspension on 35" BFG Ko2s, should I break down and get a 2.5" lift before or ya'll think I'll be fine this time?

Just a heads up. The Michigan location is back open. Jeep Academy said there was a bug in their system that closed registrations. Looking forward to this camp!

I find it interesting that the Hollister event is $199 where the other two are $99. California gets price gouged again.
I sent an email off to the Academy guys and got this response:

"The Hollister trip costs more due to local venue pricing. It costs significantly more than the other states we are currently holding our Academy events."

So, it appears that Hollister Hills is charging a lot more than other venues.

Looks like each day is the same intro level of training and only a couple hours of trail ride?

So apparently no benefit in attending more than one day?

So it’s like Camp Jeep
No, not even close. The original Camp Jeep was held every year from 1995 til 2007. I went to everyone from 1999 till 2007. It was a three day event packed with everything. It was the best thing Jeep ever did for its brand. People drove their jeeps from all across the US to attend. Dam I wish they would bring it back!

I hear ya. I had to hurry up and get my Smittybilt bumper on yesterday that's been sitting in my garage for the last couple of weeks. I'll be there too, on Sunday.

FYI, I tried to add a second rider and I was told they're only doing two people per Jeep because of COVID and they figure it'll be more manageable social distancing. Friggin' Coronavirus!
