I think he’s referring to the Gladiator fender badges. If so, they look black on the truck. Not sure why they were catching the light like that but I had the sun at my back taking that photo. The Jeep emblem overlay is gator pattern I got off of Etsy. They’ll be going back to black at some point.

Yes, sorry I wasn’t clear. I was referring to the 80th anniversary Gladiator nameplates. Thanks for the info, I think I will order them.

They're the same ones you'll see on any 80th Anniversary edition if you want to ride by a dealership to look at some in person. They are a slight off-black against stark black lettering if that makes sense, but not as purple-looking as in that photo. Could always spray paint them black before putting them on but not sure you could still make out the lettering after doing that.

The dead pedal I ordered before I ever got my Jeep came this week. I thought being one nut and bolt it would be easy as pie. I was wrong. Getting the existing nut off was near impossible and I didn’t have a 13mm nut to go over it. Finally went to Advance Auto to buy a nut and the young men there took my story as a challenge. One got if free after 10 minutes of wrenching so I tipped him a $20. It was worth every cent. Anyway, now I have a dead pedal.

Also have a pretty basic Weathertech back seat cover to install when feeling returns to my hands.

Got the Weathertech back seat cover put in. I hate to say that Extreme Terrain sent me a used set, but I could tell what color the last person's dog was that returned them. And they honestly look a little faded. Disappointing but I really didn't feel like returning them or making a stink since my other order from them (G.E.A.R. front seat covers) was missing the pouches. Not a great first buying experience from Extreme Terrain but I cleaned them off with a pet roller and got them on in about 5 minutes. Not great-looking, but I can always pull them out easily enough when I have passengers. My standard backseat passenger is a white bulldog, so the black cloth back seats needed them.

Enjoying your posts, but I'd have had to return the rear seat cover. Sending out used merch is no good in my opinion, unless there is a disclaimer and discount to match.

Where did u get the red tow hook covers? do they have cover for rear hook?

Hook covers came from Quadratec. Not sure if they make one for the rear.

Most subtle mod ever. I never loved that you could see through the grill so well so got an Under The Sun insert to put there. Wish I'd photo'ed the whole journey but didn't bring my phone out until I was finished. I thankfully got a 2 sided one, olive drab American flag on one side, and black on the other. The install was pretty easy, considering all the plastic pins and such which are not my strong suit. Generally speaking, if it's plastic and I try to do anything with it, something breaks. But not this time. Only problem was, I wasn't crazy about how open it looked after removing the honeycomb patterned plastic pieces. So I put them back on and reassembled. Now you couldn't really make out the flag, it just looked like stripes. So I flipped it and used the black side facing out. And now, I'm actually really pleased with it.

This is interesting. Better keep an eye on temperatures if you do any strenuous towing.

It's basically a screen; I don't think it restricts air flow much. And it's just a small part covering the grill anyway. But it's easy enough to pull out if I ever notice it's making a difference.

Got my 80th Anniversary Gladiator "decals" to replace the factory stickers that were bothering me. I like these much better. Wasn't meaning to take a selfie in the process but no getting around it.

Haven't gotten around to removing the gator Jeep overlays and change my mind on them every time I see the vehicle. The first time a corner starts to peel, off they'll go but for now they're on there pretty good.

I agree , the Gladiator decal a POS. I went with this myself.
