Really seems to depend on what you ordered. Mojaves and Rubicons seem to move much quicker. But a Sport or Sport S is slow. I ordered 5/28 and just got the build sheet on 7/28 but Jeep chat says it could be 1-2 weeks until production is complete. I'm guessing it won't be delivered in the 10-12 week window my dealer told me.
Got my build sheet notification on Saturday (8/1). Travis says it's now in storage awaiting the shipping backlog to clear. He's expecting it to be 2-3 weeks to get delivered. So that's 12-13 weeks for a Base Sport even before the chip shortage issue (finger's crossed).

Hi! Can somebody enlighten me on why i’m at 22 weeks from my order date and still stuck in « D » ordered march 2nd 2021.

Gladiator Sport S
Manual 23S
Canadian order.
No fancy option

jeep chat is no use in canada due to privacy laws. Dealer has no dates either.

Canada orders seem to take significantly longer than US orders, this seems to be a trend on this site and elsewhere.

Ordered Gladiator Sport S in Gecko Green on 7/25. Got VIN and VON and through chat it looks like it's in the early stages. Parts being ordered etc. No start build date yet but chat told me to check back in a week.
On pins and needles... First time ordering any new car from the dealer.

Can someone explain, I placed my order on 6/25. Up until 7/28 things were going well, the build sheet showed up, Chat told me that they had all of the parts and the build had begun, I called the dealer and he said that it had gone out to a body vendor, would be back and ship Tuesday 8/3. Then Friday I heard that the plant was going to shut down Monday 8/2 due to chip issues. I checked with Chat Tuesday 8/3, was told that it was back from body vendor, but still had accessories that needed to be installed, but plant was shut down for a week, I should check back next week. asked about the chip shortage, and Chat said they were told that the plant would be shut down for a week. What is weird, since 7/28, in the data base, my Jeep has not been updated. It has been over a week and I am starting to get a little worried, not sure where my Jeep is....... Any words of wisdom??? Thanks.

Not sure about offering wisdom, but sometimes too much information being available is kind of counter-productive. I've run into the same thing with the Postal Service Informed Delivery process which gives you a scanned image of all the mail coming to your mailbox that day.
In any case, I'm in the same boat with you but not as far along. My Gladiator is in the parts ordering stage and not scheduled for production yet. Just pins and needles now and finding other things to occupy my mind. Like watching every darn YouTube video about Gladiators ! ! !
Hang in there. There has to be a lot of lag tied into their tracking system...

Agreed that the reports you get from the 'sources' aren't always that accurate. But it sounds like you're past the stage of being chip dependent and really just need the factory back up and running for final inspection and shipping. So hopefully that just adds a week to your wait. Now getting it shipped might take a bit... :(.

I reached out to Jeep Chat today and they confirmed my order is on the installing accessories stage. I did ask about chips and they were unable to tell me if my vehicle is effected. I was advised to check back in 1-2 weeks for a shipping estimate. I was quoted 10 weeks so it might make it within that window. I sure hope it does, i have a trip planed for labor day weekend taking the boat out for some fun, at this point I don't have a long distance tow vehicle... I might need to order a hitch and mud tires for my WRX

Something seems slightly off in this whole situation but it's probably my ignorance in building vehicles. Why shut down an entire plant if there are enough chips the build the vehicles that have VIN#s assigned? Just from comments on this site it sounds like there are quite a few vehicles in line.

The VIN is created/assigned before all parts are collected. So yes there are a number of vehicles in line to build but the chips components aren't in hand for them and they won't be scheduled until all parts are there.

I guess I don't really know what the chips are effecting. Mine made it to final inspection and is waiting on accessories to be installed. You'd assume they'd finish building the vehicles that aren't waiting on chips, but again I don't really understand how their manufacturing layout works. I assume the union contracts aren't allowing the works to just be sent home without pay.

I agree, it seems weird to me that a week will fix all of their chip shortages that they keep talking about.

I don't know how much this will help y'all in the current environment, but for reference I ordered on 6/14, was in D1 by 6/17, received VIN on 7/2 (although this was likely delayed from actual VIN creation), delivered to Gupton on 7/23. My build was a well optioned Mojave in terms of factory options, but no after-market available ones (no bedliner, no trail rail, etc.). I did have the advanced safety, safety, and remote proximity options. Although a lot has changed in the past month and a half.

On a separate note, huge recommendation for Gupton. Never had an easier ordering or car buying process. They know what they're doing, they're professional, and they do what they say. Totally worth the flight and drive. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Is the Bedliner a delay too? I have it and the gorilla glass.

I can't comment on the bed liner because it's not an option with the diesel (for some reason?). But I can say that I got the Gorilla Glass, ordered 6/25 and dealer told me today he expects it to arrive "any day now". When I ordered I expected to wait until the end of August if not September, so I'm pleasantly surprised. I did order a Rubicon so YMMV, but the Gorilla Glass does not appear to be the holdup.
