Did Ophir, Imogene, and Yankee Boy. Good time for sure. Red Cone is pretty as well. Crystal Mill this time of year never disappoints.

I think the alpine loop is by far my favorite place to wheel. Between the elevation and alpine setting the trails are fun across the board and I don’t know of anywhere with better views.

Tight but doable. You do shoot some great videos. Saw your Holy Cross one too!
Thanks! Nothing professional but it gives me something to do in the camper at night. And I love to go back and watch them to relive the trails.

Holy Cross was a blast. The Gladiator showed itself well versus two Wranglers on 35s.

Your JT is a beast.

For those who want a good look at getting a Gladiator around a tight switchback on Black Bear Pass, here you go.

I did Black Bear Pass this summer in my JTR as well. Great views, fun ride. Thanks for sharing, I wish I was able to get better footage.

Fun time with stunning views. I wish I had better footage as well. I left the camera lens cover on the drone and the gimbal couldn't counter the motion in the tightest switchback video. Had to edit it later and it really doesn't look as good as it should. It's enough to spur my memory though and that is half the reason for doing it.

DJI Air 2S. Unfortunately I left the plastic gimble/lens cover on for one of the vids.

We did BBP a week ago today, on Sept 27. We got some rain on the way down but nothing frozen. On Tues we were up at Alta Lakes, it started snowing moderately at around 11'000 ft.

My bud and I were running around the San Juan's all week, once we got over to Ouray mid-week we had snow above 10'800-ish almost daily. Either it had snowed or it did snow on us. I've never wheeled in the snow up there like we had last week, it was awesome and beautiful. I'm from KS originally, AZ now, so playing in the snow is not an unknown. But being up in the San Juan's and snowing like it was, was incredible.

if i can get a couple vids to upload i'll post 'em. I dont want to wish my life away but i wish i could retire and move up there now.

I would love to see those vids. I've only seen the San Juans from a distance with significant snow on them. I've seen just enough that had fallen recently to get a feel for how beautiful it must be when snowing more. Not that I would want to go down the switchbacks in the snow....

That really tight switchback is what convinced me to put seat risers on my TJ. I'm 5'10", but 35" inseam so no torso. Making those turns while unable to see over the hood is terrifying.

Do you have the trail cam and if so, did it help?

I do and yes it is helpful. I find it helpful when a trail crests and you can't see anything also.
