Personally I think the JT is underpowered for my needs, so…..

After being a diehard 4.0 owner and driver for last 30 years I'm a big fan of them. But I have 4 others with one. MPG wise the 3.6 has grown on me. But a little more without having to down shift 2-4 gears would be great. Not a fair comparison though MJ and XJ are about a ton lighter weight especially my MJ closer to 3000 lbs lighter. My LJ and (ret) rock crawler XJ are probably close in weight. So a 4.0 -4.7 sized V-6 would be nice. No thanks on forced air for me. D.F. sounds good on paper but cost vs MPG gains and ECT isn't there for me with the D.F. motor available from Jeep. I'd love a V-8 especially a Hemi until I have to refuel.

392 would be nice.

Nut I think I'll be more than happy when I get my Maggi installed.

I hope that them putting the 392 in the wrangler will open up the 5.7 as standard upgrade. For me I think the 5.7 would be plenty of power for what I need and if offered for not a crazy amount over the v6 I’d probably jump on one.

no need for the 5.7 if they keep offering the diesel.

If they drop the oil burner, then by all means, replace it with the 5.7.

“4 cylinder supercharged intercooled turbo”
You want to supercharge a turbo?
Isn’t that a bit of overkill?
Anyway, if I wanted a hot rod Jeep, I’d add a supercharger.
Although a twin-turbo V6 would be nice.

Doesn"t matter to me unless they pair it with a clutch pedal. More power is always nice, but it loses all its luster when you have a computer shifting for you.

392. Anyone who says 5.7 has never driven the 392. I’d settle for the 5.7 but I’d prefer the 392.

I-6 Hybrid would be interesting, I'm ready to go full electric on my next one, but that I-6 we keep seeing pop up looks like a nice power plant.
That's the new GME-T6. I think it is supposed to debut in the new Wagoneer next year -

I-6 would nice for just a little more grunt. I had a 392 and it was a blast, but I’m not looking to spend 75k plus for a Gladiator. You’re getting into another league of vehicles at that price point.
