Hey hey, I’ve been going through the different threads trying to get the best info because I want to order a gladiator. Everyone on the forum is great and you get a ton of info so any help is appreciated. Long story short. Want to order a sport s with max tow, minimal bells and whistles, just want functionality. What’s stopping me is that I can’t get a color matching hardtop. What is driving me up a wall (and others) is the weak options. The corporate game of the forced up sell is steering me away. In order to get a colored hardtop I’d have to go with the upper trims. I don’t want unneeded options and plus I lose the main option I want. The dealers are zero help as is corporate. I was trying to get a regional reps email or really any contact info higher than a local salesman. Steam was coming out of my ears talking with the customer service rep, I get treated like crap on a daily basis in my job so I’m not going to do the same to others. I was just hoping that someone out here may have any guidance other than aftermarket and paint. What’s crazy to me is that it’s an easy concession, two guys and a dolly to bring the colored hardtop over and two guys on the line to put it on. I get that if they did that for me everyone would want something. But with the competition really amping it up you’d think Jeep would switch up their playbook. Thanks in advance everybody.

So the only model that the technology package is optional on is the Sport S. When you choose the 8.4 audio group you have to add either the technology package or the popular equipment package. Which includes the technology package.
Just a little update for those that thought PEP came with tech, I have found a few loaded sports that despite having 8.4, acc, Alpine, pep and convenience, do not have the 7"tft color display on their build sheet. I also do not see tech package on their sheet. I am crossing fingers it's wrong and suddenly shows on window sticker but I doubt it.

Here is an example build https://cryptostickers.net/Details.html?nick=ATrashPanda

Tech package was removed and dropped pep by $500. It's standard on willys, Texas trail, and Altitude I think. Recheck order guide and look at standard equip before the options pages. This is a major pitfall on the sports.

Can anyone explain why you’d want the 7ā€ rather than the 3.5 toggles?

Well, some people believe the Color display looks better and it has offroad pages as well if you get the 8.4 radio.

Yeah off-road pages makes sense. But with the new models, you get the 7.0 touch and 3.5ā€ cluster stock.

I know 2022 orders just opened, but not in love with the colors, hoping for a tan/Gobi, when does the mid year changes usually happen?
The truth is no one knows. Since they list Gobi as a limited edition color, it could become available at basically any time and go away quickly as well.

Haha me either. Its a race now, will the Earl JT become available to order…
I’d wager Earl will be available before Gobi. I’ll be honest, I’m starting to get concerned they won’t offer Gobi until late next year & the diesel will only be available for just so long ?

Yea, waiting hasn't paid off in the least for me.... Oh well, a person wants what they want.
