Apple CarPlay issue fixed with most recent iOS 15.2.1?

After downloading the most recent iOS 15.2.1, I’m not experiencing the CarPlay issue with the center console jack. Curious if others have found the same thing?

CarPlay would intermittently disconnect. The problem was also localized to the port inside the center console.

I did not realize that one worked with Car Play.
But I have a mount just to the left of the Grab handle for my phone, so I never tried.

One of the main fixes of 15.2.1 was CarPlay issues -- though they're usually somewhat vague on what the before and after is

The issue was due to different implementations from the manufacturers that we addressed due to connection issues and to add some coding for wireless stability. Jeeps main issue is the USB ports used are not a consistent quality and some owners have issues.

Now I wonder if one of those wireless CarPlay devices would work. I returned mine after too many stability issues.

I just went to 15.2.1 last night and had a disconnect today using my center console…. I don’t think I’m using the expensive Apple USB though.

I'm still on iOS 14. Ha no issues wit the center console so far. I don't see a reason to upgrade so far.
