I'm too busy crying over my wallet emptying so quickly to worry about my hand...
Gas here took a 30 cent jump today. 87 octane is $3.99. Diesel is $4.79. Would rather have the hand pain.

And, I nominate this is the most rediculous gripe I've seen.

They design an entire vehicle. With a complex engine, environmental systems, 4 wheel drive system, everything.

And your concern is a fuel door that opens 20 degrees to little and your looking for an "after market solution" to this "problem" ?

But I see your point. Man, those engineers are sub standard. Can you imagine that they let this travesty slip by them during the rigorous quality control and engineering refinent process ?

While they were busy making sure that the engine runs and the transfer case is robust and will get you across death valley in air conditioned comfort with your family I'm tow while carrying a roof top tent, survival gear and a mobile kitchen they overlooked the little plastic piece that rubs left handed people for 3 seconds each week while getting gas.

What is this world coming to ? When will people start taking their responsibilities seriously ?

The OP, @pgh gladiator hasn't responded after his initial gripe.

Only 3 seconds each week? Is yours a hybrid? Mostly just kidding, but it doesn't even come close to rubbing my hand as a lefty. The only conclusion I can come to is that some fuel nozzles must be shaped different than others. Because I've noticed this issue as a left handed person exactly 0 times, and I fill up a LOT. More than I'd like.

And you've seen the photos of me filling up - my hand, the fuel nozzle, and the tons of space - and the fact that the handle part of the nozzle isn't even across from that ouch pointy thing.

I refer everyone back to the original top photo - and how it was staged.
The nozzle is deliberately turned clockwise several degrees and the hand is too far forward to even operate the trigger.

IMO it was a fake gripe, staged, done on purpose, likely because he really had nothing to complain about and wanted to show how silly some of the other "gripes" out there are.

I snapped a picture when I filled up tonight. The nozzles used at the local Sam's Club make it very difficult to scrape your hand on the door. My strap broke a long time ago, so I just hang it on the door.
