This past weekend I attached locking Maxtrax mounts to each side of my RSI smartcap using Rivnuts. The mounts I have hold two recovery boards per side.

I tacked up a collapsible storage rack for my freedom panels so I can take them with me (beautiful mornings and afternoon showers out of nowhere are a regular thing here...) without getting the panels banged up or permanently giving up my storage space. It's just one bolt with a butterfly nut that holds it together at the top, and if remove it I can fold it flat or pull it out the side window without a second person.

What started as taking the dash and misc. trim apart to get rid of some bad rattling ended up with installing the 115V switch/bed outlet and taking the media port cover off. Still have to find some time to install the aux switches.

Soooo... I chewed up the T40 head on my door hinge trying to remove it to install steps to access my roof rack. Tried for hours doing all the tricks like hammering in a larger T50 bit, cutting oil, extractor kit, etc. The drill bit snapped and the drill skipped across the hinge, then the T50 moved and I hit the door with a hammer.

Ended up taking it to the local machine shop and the fella humbled me hard as he pops it out in 30 seconds flat still in the parking lot, didn't even move it into the garage. He tried to make me feel better by saying I "loosened it" for him. ?

Nice idea, I swapped the freedom panels out for a Bestop sunrider & put the panels in storage, I feel the freedom. ???

Thanks! ?? You might be talking bout the light pillar mounts & the steel mesh that bolts onto the supports. I took them to a local powder coat company & had them powder coated red they were originally powder coated black.

No, just the front grill and the head light inserts in red. Or did you just paint 'em? I saw some on Amazon that say will fit our trucks, but reviewers said different. My G is all black and I'd like to add some colors. I just ordered some red carbon(wannabe) fiber dash board and center console covers. Your red grill will be a good compliment. I might end up painting the teeth(hooks) to match.

The grill is one piece from what I understand. I took it to my local paint & body shop & they removed it & repainted it rubicon red to match the bumper hooks. I think it was around $300.00 or so to have it professionally painted, which is the best way to go IMO.

Oh man. Too much for a custom job for me right now. But wow! I really like them! Hmm I just sold my original set of rims and tires today....but now my wallet has echo in it coz it's getting empty with all this unnecessary accessories and upgrades. Hahaha! I should just get a decal that says MoneyPit.

I’ve heard of people taking the grill insert out & repainting them with a can of spray paint that matches Rubicon red. I had just purchased the vehicle & didn’t want to mess it up so I had it done. Yes I agree definitely a money pit, but fun making it pop. I’m keeping my original rims & tires for now since to get it emissions tested I may have to swap out my 37s for 33s or you can find testing center who will have a dyno for a 37”x20 tire, not common I’m told. I did find one in Colorado but it’s a drive.
