I did some research before and that’s why i stated BFG KO2 only, don’t want to do any other 37 since they are so Heavy. The BFG are supposed to run lighter and smaller than advertised, just mainly looking for someone with a stock rubi or Mojave with these exact tires so I can ask a few questions.
I can attest to the BFG's definitely being lighter, and they are on the small end of the 37" range. I went with the 37" KM3's, and was very surprised at how mich lighter they were than the Toyo Open Country M/T's I ran in the same size in my last Wrangler. I have the 2-inch Mopar lift on my JTR, w/a Fox steering stabilizer, but still running factory 4.10 gears. When these wear out, I may go to the 39's, but I'll reevaluate my current lift and gears then if I do.

I ran my stock Rubicon with 37"KO2s for the first 7k miles. (Now I have a lift.) First thing you'll notice is the drastic improvement in ride quality. I don't have anything good to say about the factory 33" Wildpeaks. They may as well be made of stone. The KO2s on the other hand ride great on and off road. Mine's a diesel and while there's plenty of acceleration, the combination of 73s and 37s is under geared and you can feel the system lugging. I would say 4.11s and 4.56s are the sweet spot for diesels with 37s, and bump it up by one for the gas engines.

@mjchip how was the power loss on the highway when you went 37s?
On the highway, my diesel with 37" KO2s "comes on" at about 80mph. IMO, that's too high.

I think you'll be very satisfied with the 1" spacers and 35" KO2s.
You don't need the ground clearance.
You'll get great performance on and off road.
You'll be close to factory ratios.
Your suspension will open up quite a bit more especially if you're running Falkens.

Awsome thank you all for the info, I’ll be going with 37s and if I do end up running I’ll throw a spacer in but that aev 2 inch and 37s does look awfully tempting. One day I’ll definitely be on 39s and 2 inch that seems to be the best looking.

I’ll say two words… throttle controller
I was just going to 'like' this comment, but it's more important than that.

Throttle controller is a must with or without larger tires. By far one of the best mods I've done. I took my JTR with roof top tent (roof top sail) on a 2500 mile trip to Colorado and couldn't stand the pedal dead feel at about 3/4 throttle. I would push a little harder and a little harder hoping it would grab one gear lower, and it would eventually drop 3 gears and scream. It was a dog most of that trip and I was seriously reconsidering my build priorities.

My Banks Pedal Monster completely changed my views and direction on how I'm building my truck. Before I was afraid of even going to 35's in my JTR with 4:10's, but now am definitely planning on 37's. I run mine on nearly the lowest setting (3 up on the City settings) and it completely changed the truck. I laughed at people putting these things on the cars and thinking they were somehow getting 'more power' and raving about the performance. I was wrong. It definitely does not have more power, but how it applies the power is significant and a game changer for my build.

Full disclosure, I'm mid-build so I don't have the 37's yet. I just installed the Fox 2.0 Reservoir shocks this week and the Clayton 2.5 Overland + kit being installed next week. Tires and wheels will have to wait a couple of months, but I'm not concerned at all about my direction. At a minimum I know I can set the tire size with my Tazer and dial up the throttle response with my Pedal Monster to compensate for the tires. I may end up re-gearing at some point in the future, but I know I can pull off my build with this plan and space out the expenses. I'm a pay for it as you go person and will pay interest on toys, so spreading this out it essential.

BTW, I can't wait to get back to spending $200-$300 on the mods (Tazer and Pedal Monster). The $2000-$3000 mods are killing me!

Good luck with your build.

I ran 35's on my stock Max Tow before I lifted it was able to get 18.7mpgs average on 315 70 17 BFG KO2s, could get it close to 20 on long trips. A 35 will fit without any lift with no rubbing with the wide track axles. I'm running 37's now and normally stay between 17.2 to 17.6 Mpgs on stock 4.10 gearing. It's still got plenty of power for me and I still see 7th and 8th gear enough to not consider a regear. I'm running 37 12.5 17 Kanati Trail Hogs now they are light like the BFGs are but run more true to size than a BFG. A 37 12.5 17 BFG ko2 measures 35.8 mounted at 33psi. My Kanati 37 12.5 17 measure 36.4 mounted at 33psi. Kanati 37 runs 72lbs and BFG 37 is 71lbs. Honestly I was a huge BFG fan after running about 4 sets in my JKU but after running these Kanati trail hogs may have found a new favorite tire. I have about 18,000 miles on them and have only worn about 2/10th of the tread off. Only rotated them one time so far and they are wearing pretty even.

Here's mine on the 315 70 17 BFG no lift

Here's mine on the 37 12.5 17 Kanati Trail Hogs. This is with Rubicon Front Springs and a 2.5" Readylift SST Spacer lift

Mines a Max Tow which has some of the same setups as far as axles and gearing of the Mojave and Rubicon so this should give you a idea of what to expect.

I just put 35" (315/70/17 size) BFG ATs on my Mojave (no lift).
Did a ton of research on tire weight; the load range C BFG's actually weigh less than the OEM Falken AT's. So if you can find a wheel that is relatively light then no worries about tanking any performance.

Enjoy the mismatched wheel picture; the amazon seller selling Rock Trix wheels sent me the one incorrect wheel. They were great about getting the right one shipped out. For you all you get to see what the RT115 (5 spoke, what I ordered) and the RT114 (9 spoke). Specs are the 17x9 +12 offset. Personally I wanted specs closer to OEM like the AEV Plinter is, but the Rock Trix were so cheap and they don't stick out too far with that +12mm.

Wrangler JL with the extreme recon package comes with 35” BFGs and 4.56 gears, they are not putting in different gears for no reason. JT is heavier and rated to haul and tow more, I have 35” and there is a noticeable difference in performance from 32” or 33” tires, also I am referring to listed tire sizes as none of the different tires I have tried on my JT were as large in diameter as specified.
Gas mileage and braking are also degraded.

Have 1 year and 25k miles on my BFG 37s, Clayton 1.5 level kit (highly recommend), Rubicon with stock 4:11 gears, light trails only, and had the same debate, glad I didn't do 35s. The D rated was the only choice at the time, now they have a C rated, even lighter. I will go with those next, my weight per wheel and tire increase was my focus, had a very small increase over stock, don't see a need to regear, but I think that could be subjective based on available cash and ease of install options.

37” BFG AT KO2s. Forget the 35’s. The 37’s are perfect with 4:10’s and I have no trouble pulling hills with the 8 speed automatic. You will see 7th gear more often, and it will drop to 5 or 6 on steep climbs with a load. This is not noisy however or jarring like a 5 speed auto would be. You probably won’t even notice this.

I absolutely love mine and recently got into some ice and snow from Indianapolis through Milwaukee. By the time I got to Milwaukee there was 6”es of snow on the interstate. Even in the ice they were fantastic.
The BFG ATs have always amazed me!
Go with the 37’s!!
