I will!
epa has no jurisdiction outside the US. Also those links are from a very basic google search… first page of results as a matter of fact.

Have you found a DPF/EGR that the manufacturer says will fit the 20/21 engine? Found tons for the Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel, but no luck on one for Gladiators.....if anyone knows where to buy one, l would much appreciate the info

No to be honest,I've found that the gde tune is pretty good and it retains all the emissions, until then I'm going with the gde tune so I can keep my warranty, but once my truck reaches 100k miles I'm most likely gonna go with the emissions delete
I've kinda forgot about this thread so sorry if I'm no longer as active here

They are not very hard to make or have made. If you want one made you just have to make a template of what you need and have any machine shop cut you a plate. Machined it the way to go because you can have them integrate the groove for the gasket, should it need one.

I am happy to deal with a catalytic converter, as it reduces emissions. Likewise the aftertreatment system for a diesel engine reduces emissions. The DPF in particular keeps the black carbon from shooting out the tailpipe. I don’t want to return to the smog filled air from my childhood. …and I want to reduce the global temperature trend. Gaining a few HP for an individual versus the impact on the many is not worth it.

The rise in temperature is impacting the places we like to visit with our trucks, such as our National Parks. So, I repeat myself…. If you don’t want to deal with a DPF, don’t buy a Diesel engine.
Electronic fuel injection is the biggest contributor to lowering emissions and fighting smog not cats. In my turbo car days I have seen people get a emissions test with hollowed out cats and pass with flying colors with stock tunes.

Yeah I can agree with that, brother has a 2jz swapped supra, the new mk5 supra and had to take it in for emissions for some reason, probably since he got it as a salvage tittle cause the car is not stock at for any means so he didnt care since he changed everything, but yeah also he's running over 800hp and still passed emissions somehow probably cause of the tune and him running on e85? Who knows tbh

But yeah guys for anyone that's curious I'm not gonna delete my truck until my warranty is over at 100k miles,so sadly I'm not gonna be a guinea pig and be the one who finds out how it will go,but I assume it will go pretty well if you do it

as far as I've seen ecodiesel owners Canada has a super Good tune by MRTuning and if you see their Facebook page their gladiator is a beast and sounds amazing, good enough to the point that I was considering risking it on voiding my warranty;) ....but no I'm not going to pull the trigger yet

soo...what if you pulled the dpf, cut it open and did a little surgery then welded it back up. Then just happened to put a restriction in the egr, say 50%. On the version 3 where does the burn off fuel come from, is there another injector near the dpf? i see what im assuming is the def injection but no fuel line. Anyway, just thinkin out loud to still kinda have the systems but get rid of some of the restriction

You don't need a separate PCM. They typically tune the one you have. Same day turnaround and overnight it back.
If you want a dedicated PCM for your tune, be patient cause everybody's out and the backorder just keeps growing.

I passed an EPA dyno test in Ohio with a 2006 Jeep Wrangler with gutted cats, can you believe that? They failed me the first time for having the downstream cat efficiency code. Reset the computer and came back before it had run all it's checks (normally an automatic fail as well) and signed a waiver for the dyno test instead and *bam* stamp of approval.

Not that I'm necessarily condoning it. I have a distinctly unique view on all of this stuff, but I'm not going to add it to this already painful to read thread.

I will say that I have done a good bit of engine tuning on my supercharged TJ and SRT-10 and already have an HPTuner. I'm excited to see what all I can fiddle with when my Gladiator gets here. Soon, hopefully.
