Quick technical question for the group. I have a 2022 Altitude (pictured below.) I've read all over that 35" tires fit pretty much all models. I'm not even trying to go that big - I know Mojave and Rubicon have 285 70R17 so I went with that size to be safe. I didn't go into this blind - I did some research beforehand and I think I'm gonna be OK without spacers. My size equates to (roughly) 33x11.5/17. (Actually a touch smaller, if we're splitting hairs. 32.7x11.2/17.)
I'm going rounds with the manager at Discount Tire about installing them. Is there ANY reason anyone knows of that LT285 70R17 shouldn't fit my stock setup, including the wheels? The wheels are 17"x7.5" which is the same as the Rubicon stock rims. I know the Rubicon axles are slightly bigger - is it that much of a difference?
