I’d try another full reset and think about taking it to the dealer if still nothing after a few days. I seem to recall I was obsessed with resets and WiFi connectivity and just when I had given up, they appeared
@aceinfinity - I didn’t do anything, after a couple of days or so they all came back. Sounds weird I know but I’ve read that happened with others too.
I wonder if one of you could help me out - I ordered the cloning kit:
(2024 SM2 PRO J2534 V2.22.22 VCI Full Set 69IN1 Dongle Modules V1.21 ECU Programmer Read&Write EEPROM FLASH BENCH Tool 12V/24V)...
I had that happen within a few weeks of getting my 2024 JTR. Hands free calling had no audio as a consequence (or a cause). I reset the head unit and although it didn’t fix it straight away (as I recall), speaker started working the next day after sitting overnight.
Mine will give the metallic rattle when it's in the disengaged position (down). When it's engaged, there is no rattle. Will go take a look later today.
That sums up the uconnect support to a tee. I don’t feel as though they actually use the system. I’ve found the dealer to be better… more practical knowledge.
Well, I talked to uconnect customer support at lunch and after reset then factory reset, I ended up losing more of the apps (car play, Alexa, front and rear cameras, dashboard tab under vehicle) and they recommended I went to the dealer. I played a bit more after hanging up, reset again...
I have a 24 rubicon x and updated a week or so ago. I lost the Off Road Adventure Guide app too. I can still access the Off Road GPS via the nav however.
Here's the video that helped me most with the 2024 dashboard disassembly:
The panel that gave me access to the area where I found the connector was removed at 14min, 24 secs i.e. the speaker trim panel. I then loosened the speaker box/ pod via its 3 screws to give more wiggle room. The 3...
You need to remove the speaker cover/ kick panel which means starting with the dash pad & tray, radio, left vent trim piece, panel containing headlight switch and finally the speaker panel. I also unscrewed the speaker pod (but not removed) to give some movement for greater access to the area...
Hey, not sure what terminology is used but I think it’s the speaker pod ie the big black plastic enclosure into which the speaker is mounted. The connector was found in the space below the opening for the headlight switch - that area where you couldn’t bore scope into, which is immediately above...
Hey all. I just completed the install today on my feb 2024 rubicon. The connector was located in the area immediately above the speaker. It was out of sight, high on the left towards the front. I pulled it free and was able to fish it up and through the same opening as the headlight connector in...
