I tried to make a deal with them on a ā25 Mojave X. They wouldnāt give me what I others offered me on my 22 Rubicon trade. Numbers just were where I needed them to be. I did like what they did to some of the regular Mojaveās by adding after market wheels, bumpers, lights, etc. However, I was...
I asked for the best possible price and they game me $11K off MSRP on a 2025 Mojave. They said that was the absolute best they could do. They also gave me $39K for my 2022 Rubicon with 11K miles. That was more than any other dealer would give me.
You might be right on the bad shocks. They were off a new Mojave with less than 500 miles. But, they felt pretty much like the Rubicon shocks. Bumps felt really harsh and the return always felt like the truck shifted left or right causing a slight steering correction.
I haven't driven the Overland. So, I can't compare. The Mojave ride is better than the Rubicon if that's what someone is looking for. I had a 2020 sport with 35's and 2" level. It was a terrible ride. Much worse than the Rubicon.
I asked about changing the springs to the Mojave and several said...
Ok, so I decided to trade my Rubicon in for a Mojave. The drive-ride is totally different. Even with the reservoir shocks on the Rubicon, it does not drive-ride like the Mojave. The Mojave is almost like driving a luxury car. It takes the bumps so much better than the Rubicon.
So, if you are...
If you have lifted the front higher than 1" you will need shock extenders when going with the Mojave Fox shocks. I tried to go 1.5" spacer on the front and the shocks wouldn't reach. I wondering if I still need extenders with the 1" spacer. Shocks might be topping out.
I know that Google or Apple Car Play is a better option. Just ridiculous that the factory GPS isn't better. The one in my wife's Lincoln is pretty much flawless and very useful with traffic integration.
Am I missing something here or is the navigation system just about worthless if you do not know the address for the location? If I want to get directions to a specific POI like a restaurant, it cannot find it. Seems to always have to be an address. Even when I use an address in voice command it...
I purchased a 2020 Sport S new. It was already lifted with aftermarket tires and wheels by the dealership. I guess it was a way to get them off the lot right before the '21 came out. I added an aftermarket bumper to flat tow it behind our motorhome. I kept it for a year and was going to sell it...
I think they are identical. Several have said they changed them out with no issues. Only difference might be spring rate from what I understand.
Shock extenders would probably help since I could only go 1ā spacer. The extra 1/2ā made them too short. So they are probably topppng out now.
I guess all of the hype from Mojave owners and ones that have driven them about how much better handling/ride they have. I only spent $1300 on the shocks. Is there anything better aftermarket in that price range?
I got the lightest version of Sumo Springs. Not usually hauling heavy but understood they would help with rear-end bounce. I will eventually be towing a travel trailer. Also some moving loads from Indiana to Arizona.
