The exhaust tip on the JT prototype hangs kind of low too since it points downwards. I could see those getting some dings as well. But yea I guess rear exit tips sticking out the back of the car eats into departure angle the most.

So sounds like it's the axle ratio that's makes the biggest difference in tow capacity and the reason the JK tow capacity is so low because of its high 3.21 axle ratio? Any idea how much more higher tow capacity the JK would have if it used the Ram's 3.55 or the even higher 3.73 that JK...

If this is supposed to be FJ successor it'd better not be the same formula as before or it's gonna suffer same fate. It'd have to have solid front axle, removable top, better visibility, and a better aftermarket. And if it ends up being a Wrangler competitor it'll be interesting to see the JL...

It'll be mass produced for sure. Not surprising why limit sales when the trucks segment just keeps booming. Its already been confirmed for international markets with production starting in 2019 and a year earlier for the U.S. market.

Hell yea it's important. I need a truck, a REAL truck. I don't want a Wrangler that just looks like a truck. That's why it needs to have 1500-2000 lb cargo capacity and 7000-8000 lb towing capacity. Oh and I'm psyched to see it the prototype so far has a full cab with true back seats.
