Any mods to any factory engine can increase the odds of having issues at some point. I think driving habits and routine maintenance are the key to longevity.
Now this forum and thousands of others like this one will each have a myriad of topics of how you can improve the power and/or longevity...
Damn man, glad you recovered and are able to get around ok.
This gives me hope. Back at the end of March I was on my adventure bike and dumped it on a corner. My right foot got caught and twisted around and broke my ankle but good. I had to have a plate and some screws to get things back to...
Your bio says you live in Western North Carolina. I live there too. Where the heck are those desert looking mountains? I thought I have been most places here but never seen that terrain before. š¤
I wasnāt complaining about the mileage my Jeep gets just making an observation based on owning 5 Jeeps over the years.
Would I like better fuel economy? Sure, but I know what I am driving⦠a brick.

My granddaughter caught on to the Jeep Duck thing about 3 years ago, so she is constantly bringing ducks for our Jeeps.
How do you say no to that?
I have to make sure to have them displayed when she is visiting. š
