The CXTs are pretty aggressive tires, I have a set on my Ram 2500. They were a little squirrelly on corners (tread dept is 18.5/32) when new but seem fine now. They were great in the snow. Not too loud-really can't hear them over the diesel
BTW if you'd like an expensive and aggressive tire...
It's a short term benefit (like shutting the engine off at signal lights) but it works. There's a reason manufactures say not to warm your vehicle up-start and go. At cold temps everything is worse-mileage, emissions and wear and tear. This morning it is 13deg F and I had some luke warm air...
Ok...but I got better mileage (around 2 mpg) with a block heater in my Tacoma compared to without it. A couple of side effects of a block heater is no snow or ice on windshield or hood and instant heat.
It took my chevy cruze 4 cyl gas 8 miles to get to operating temp. First two miles it...
If the 3.0l ecodiesel is anything like a 6.7 cummins, it already comes with a block heater installed. All you would need (if that's the case) is a plug. I bought a plug from amazon for $20 +/-. I'd check with a ram ecodiesel web site to find out. A block heater with diesel or gas will...
There are base Sports out there. Jeep has 10 listed in 150 radius of me but all are autos. I saw one on facebook market place in Va for $35000+ similar to yours (manual) but it's gone now. If I get one (in a couple of years), it'll be a base sport.
So you justified price but not value. If the gladiator cost $76,000, that would be under budget.
An 1981 scrambler cost $10500 new (base was $7300). It should have increased 182% or $29650. That's inflation...I believe.
Whatever it takes to justify your purchase...good for you, but inflation calculators are only ball park numbers.
My house cost $83,500 in 1991 and the calculator says it should be worth $155,000 now. Yet my house was appraised last year for $138,000 (and now it has a 26x40 garage, two...
I wish jeep put a g56 (in particular the diesel) in the Gladiator, a truck transmission. Jeep says the Gladiator is all truck but they handicap it with a car clutch (IMO) . Put a truck clutch in it, it's a truck they aren't that hard to push in.
Personally, I think jeep included this manual...
I've had a couple of diesels in the past (ordered a 93 dodge w250, then '04 f250 6.0l, '99 f250 7.3l and currently a '16 ram 2500-g56).
I would consider buying a Gladiator diesel if it had a manual transmission. Put a truck transmission in it a g56 or a zf6. Then easily tow the same as the...
