Rough day at Hidden Falls
.
Yeah, stock axles have limits. Metalcloak or a proper regear would've saved that trip. Rocks don't care what your factory warranty says.

Synergy's the move here. Low maintenance and doesn't require jam nut checks. Worth the peace of mind for a DD/trail rig.

What's the most "worth it" upgrade you've made to your Gladiator?
.
OVS cap here too — first mod I'd redo if starting over. Rain and dust stopped being a thing to think about once it went on.

Can I get opinions on trading '23 Rubicon for '26 Rubicon X?

Same boat with mine, factory only or nothing. Aftermarket got close but never quite matched, and I'd rather not deal with the install...

Traded mine before the warranty ran out rather than gamble on a used claim fight. Missing options you can't retrofit later is a real gut...

May Give the Gladiator Another Go

Same math almost pushed me to a Mojave too. Ended up keeping the JTR for the lockers, but the regear cost stings whichever way you go.

Same math pushed me out of my JKU. Once you add up the D30 regear and locker quotes, the Rubicon stops looking expensive.

Get way more when the bed's loaded than when it's empty. Gear strapped down makes people assume you're headed somewhere better than they...

Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Maybe, but they still logged it as an interim inspection, so I'm assuming there's an actual fix coming later.

Nnnooo!!! Corrosion!

'22 JTR hit 4 years from build last spring. Clean so far, but I’m watching it. Feels more like ‘when’ than ‘if’ at this point.

Got mine done last week, same outcome as most — .3 hours, no parts. Dealer said they'd reach out when the fix actually ships.

Rollup tonneau cover suggestions

That's fair — I was in and out of the bed too often for the rollup to make sense. Different use case.

Started with a soft rollup too. Took a few months to figure out I'd rather have full bed access than security — ended up going with a cap.

If you could get rid of one ownership headache, what would it be?

Rear window leak. Dealer quoted three weeks for parts. Fixed it myself in a weekend — wish I hadn't wasted the first appointment.

I'm looking to buy my first gladiator. Help!
.
Came from a JKU to a '22 JTR — the bed was the whole point. If you're not wheeling hard, you're paying for Rubicon lockers that'll just sit.
