Just as an additional data point - I did put one of the S&B scoops on my v8 swapped JKU - lots of custom cutting on the intake side of my hood - and it did lower my measured air intake temps significantly when driving at speed. At crawl speeds it lowered temps by around 20F - degrees. I use HP...
