  1. Does a Lift change LCA/Shock Skid priority?

I 100% forgot to reply the first time you asked, my bad. They cannot rotate in the front thanks to the large flat support of the outer side. The rears dont because the side support for the frame mount is not completely circular, and it rests tightly against the angled front side. I have never...
  2. Does a Lift change LCA/Shock Skid priority?

No problem. The rears are flat on the bottom with no lip and there is a notch cut put the back to allow for more control arm articulation so no water pools inside. I would say the only downside to these is the 190ftlb torque spec and the need to re-torque after every trip. 190 is a pita on the...
  3. Does a Lift change LCA/Shock Skid priority?

No rust on the bolts, just mud in these pics, but the skids are rusting from the beatings. I hit the rear much more than the fronts so if you were looking to split up the buy, I would get the rears first. The rock hard fronts are extremely stable even though it bolts through on side due the the...
  4. Does a Lift change LCA/Shock Skid priority?

Congrats on your experience? Its not a competition, and believe me, if I was speeding through trails maybe I would have broken my stock un-trussed axles on 37s by now, so I think I take them slow enough. I can tell you that a gladiator with only a 2" lift will kiss rocks, even if you take the...
  5. Does a Lift change LCA/Shock Skid priority?

True for most things, but if you take your jeep off-road at all, smack a boulder and break a piece of your frame... 100% they are telling you to pound sand on your warranty claim. Doesn't matter if the advertise off roading or not. They don't care and are not engineering the control arm mounts...
  6. Does a Lift change LCA/Shock Skid priority?

I have a 2" lift and 37s right now and still beat the absolute trash out of all 4 frame side mounts. Luckily after the first hit awhile back I ordered the Rock hard set for all 4 corners and I would say it was 100% worth it since the one I hit nearly bent in to the control arm. Frame damge is...
  7. Who'd gone to 40's and has Trussed etc their axles?

Lotta guys I know running 42s only truss the front axle. Rear is pretty sturdy as is, most of the weight is up front, just get nice suspension and the rear would be fine. I haven't trussed my front yet, will after moving to 42", but I run 7 and 8 level Moab trails with 37 MTs and completely...
  8. Diesel - 4.56 Gears - 37 Inch Tires

Averaged closer to 20mpg with 37s on the same freeway drives.
  9. Soot level went from 38 to 82 in minutes while driving.

That level of def use is only when towing. Its normal usage is about ever few k miles. The regens are just always frequent. About once a week for me. Its the way its been since the beginning, even after I had a new DPF installed. No other issue seem present. Really, I dont mind, the system wont...
  10. Soot level went from 38 to 82 in minutes while driving.

To be completely fair, I have no evidence that says the Rislone was the exact cause except the fact that it has only ever occurred once, right after is used the Rislone, but if could have been an incredible coincidence. Or I got a bad Rislone batch. Idk what happened, but hasn't happened since...
  11. Soot level went from 38 to 82 in minutes while driving.

Thats crazy mileage to me lol. Mine hit every 100mi or so. Even more frequent when towing, according to my Banks. They always start at 80% DPF as they should. On a trip from Salt Lake to Moab, ill regen 2 to 3 times and empty a full tank of def when towing. Always been that way.
  12. Soot level went from 38 to 82 in minutes while driving.

I find this normal. Figure it to just be technology glitches. Its never affected mine differently, but happens occasionally. I also found on these trucks that short drives vs long drives dont matter. Soot builds and regens the same. I found that increasing the frequency of my air filter changes...
  13. Vibration after gear install

I have been chasing a similar vibration. Its through the floor, makes my bed rack wobble like crazy. Same on all my tires sets so I dont think its tires. But I also got new gears around the time it started, and this thread just made me think of that. I dont imagine its the gears, but maybe the...
