I am enjoying your pictures, thanks for posting. It's getting me more excited for my Ouray trip in September with Jeep Jamboree. It will be my second time up there as the first time was about 20 years ago.

DAY 2.
Day 2 we ran Black Bear and
Imogene then back to Ouray. These two trails will make a full day. Make sure to have water and bring snacks.
This makes the fourth time I have ran Black Bear and I can tell you I still get a little shaky and nervous. I can say the gladiator did fine in stock form although I did scrap bottom a few times.

My last full day in Ouray was a short day. We had to say "till we meet again" as several in the group had to leave. But before we departed we ran Corkscrew Gulch to Silverton and into the Red Mountain Mining District.

Gas was not that bad till you hit New Mexico and Colorado, $3.20 in Georgia, Arkansas was into the low $4's and NM and CO was into the $5's. Its not coming down anytime soon so you might as well grin and bear it.

In closing, I left a day early due to the miserable heat that had descended on Ouray. The first two nights in the cabin were ok but the heat wave hit and it was just to damn hot to sleep in a KOA cabin with no AC.
I have no regrets for leaving although in hindsight I should have tried to find a hotel room for a night or two.
All in all it was a great trip, I got to meet up with old friends, wheel some of the best trails in the world and we had great weather although, Hot.

Some parting thoughts on the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.
I read a lot of complainants on this forum and Facebook about how soft the suspension is on the Rubi.
First off the suspension is soft for a reason and its not for cruising to the mall. Its soft to soak up the rocks and dips and drop offs that you might encounter in a place such as the Rubicon Trail, Moab or Ouray.
Let the front end slide down a 3 foot drop off and then tell me the suspension is to soft.
Does it bounce on the highway, Yes.
Does it bounce off road, Yes, and your going to glad it does.
Ok, I'm done.
Overall I am very happy with the Gladiator. I averaged 20 to 21 mpgs on road. I drove 3687 miles, through 7 states and not one problem.

If you own Jeep Jk, JKU, JT or JL you owe it to yourself to go to one of the places I mentioned. You will be forever changed. Hook up with a group like I did 7 years ago or just ask any group you see there and ask to tag along. Most will be ok with it.
