It's a tester. The headquarters (FCA/Jeep) and development is 25 minutes from where this was spotted at. I've seen 3 recently parked over at the headquarter building already.

A simple mopar lift and 35's is perfect! I imagine the speedo wouldn't need recalibrating either?

Not sure about the JL and JT but the JK would need to have the speedometer re calibrated with something like a AEV Procal or Superchips Flashcal, dealer can only set the tire size for what the vehicle came with stock, so 33s would be the max. It is worth it having the computer know the actual size of the tires as it much improves the transmission shifting, I have had both Procal and Flashcal and I prefer the Flashcal for ease of use and more functionality.

This may be with some dealers but with there are dealers that will flash for you, MOPAR offers the 2" lift and beadlock wheels as well as putting the larger tires on. I have ready in the JL forums of dealers flashing.

I just noticed that this truck has an extra “lip” on each fender flare. Anyone seen this on another prototype?

Looks properly molded and contoured so maybe a prototype add molded ABS plastic add on they are testing?

Based on other posts, the max tow package on the Sport comes with a wider axel and different 2 piece fenders. This lip probably has something to do with that.

Non North American spec JLs have this as well. I’ll see if I can find pictures of it

If you look at the release of the JL in Indonesia (link below) it shows these flares as well as other non NA specs ( mirror marker lights, rear bumper foglights, unique taillights)

I forget where I saw. I thought the the two piece flare design was so that you could remove the outer portion to accommodate bigger tires.

Anyone notice how poor that bed cover fits?

I'd like a tad narrower tire but man I want one.

So the picture of the tire shows it's sitting on 35's, not 37's. That could be WITHOUT a lift and just a leveling kit?
