To add nothing, I don't think ball attached to bumper. I do think this and this.

All the photos I have seen seem to be bumper hitches and not the class 4 Hitch. I think the key to the class 4 is it connects to the frame in multipol locations to balance out the tow weight.

Hey Bangolia you make some good points. Sounds like you may be a hitch installer, or may have been. Homerun also makes some good points. I have never seen a Gladiator at any auto show. And I still stick by my best guess as outlined in my earlier post about this. I may be wrong. I may be right. Time will tell once they start showing up on dealers lots.

In case anyone is interested I just noticed a picture of a red Gladiator that does not have a trailer hitch attached, See my replies to threads Rubicon Freedom Edition in the General discussion section and Firecracker Red in the photos and videos section.

I also found some pictures of a black Gladiator that looks up have the exact same thing mounted under the rear bumper. I now wonder if this is their class II hitch. Maybe it somehow plugs into the center section. And it certainly looks like you could hang trailer chains from each side. Never seen a hitch like this.

Good eye. Will be interesting to see what it is. I can't imagine they will use the bumper, since bumpers aren't what they used to be, but you may be right afterall. Unless they developed a plywood bumper. That might work.

Truly I say to you that I want to not think about plywood anymore. Somehow it has taken the place of order, price, delivery date in my Jeep brain. Wait, maybe if I carry some ceremonial plywood in my 2010... The gauges will all work at the same times... and all will measure what they say they measure!!! BRB. Gotta do a thing and then test drive. Long live plywood!!!

Hey I am the one that started the plywood thread. And I carefully labeled the thread as a “possible” problem. I just pointed out the gas pipe buldge as a possible, not as a definite problem. Sorry everyone. But hey maybe you all are entertained and not annoyed. I really did not mean to annoy anyone much less everyone. If anyone is annoyed then please accept my huge apology.

No apology needed here. To the contrary, I thank you for introducing it. Got us all thru two weeks! Believe it, when we have something worth posting about everyone will be right back into it. I think we are all at wits end, tired of the nothing. Like, release a color or option package change, or something , right? Gimme something Jeep! Anyway, all good here. I like a JT. I like plywood. I like two door option. And I like me some $32,770 MSRP on a Sport.

Yeah, with no new information from Jeep, we are all bored here, and Plywood has taken on a life of its own!

Thanks Centexan and 5JeepsAz. Now I don’t feel so bad about stirring things up.

But I do think that on the instructions it said to stir briskly.

Plywood teaches us one thing for sure. Don't get pressed into conformity.

That is very true, a class II hitch. The class IV hitch comes with the heavy tow package.

Yes but there was a lot of discussion on wether it would be a hole in the bumper or an actual hitch. They confirmed the ladder
