The JL top is 60" wide, so I would say it will sit in the bed sideways, but it will not stand up. You could probably fabricate something to make it work.

Doubtful. I wish the back window piece was separate from the top.
I made that suggestion, hinting to "JEEP" - make the back window removable like the side panels of the JL hardtop !
but I think due to the electric wiring for the heating coil and the wiper . . . probably a no go ! Unless ?

Anyone know how much the larger piece of the hardtop weighs yet?

I did see this picture on Instagram with the top in the bed of the truck. If it does fit, it looks quite bulky back there. Definitely wouldn’t fit under a tonneau cover.

A JKU top is 130 without the freedom panels, JLU without panels is 100 lbs. So a JT without panels has to be quite a bit less, maybe 60.

How did you come up with those weights ? Hearsay or valid Source ? I'm asking because I am anxious to know the FULL weight of the JLU WITH Panels WEIGHT -- SO I can compare it to the Full Weight of the New (yet to be revealed) Ursa Minor Top-Replacement w/RTT for the JLU ! Anyone know for sure ! Guesses not needed ! :lipssealed:

Okay, I know this is an old thread but I have the answer in case someone is researching it. I went to the service department at my dealer and asked if it was listed in their parts database. Sure enough it was and they reported it weighs 57.9 pounds which is almost exactly to everyone's estimate.

The top fits in the bed just like above picture. Not sure I would drive around regularly like that tho. But to bring it some where to store it would be fine.

60 lbs sounds about right. I was able to remove mine by myself, standing in the bed with minimal effort
